ANITO - Proof of Concept

THIS IS A PROOF OF CONCEPT, NO WHERE NEAR FINISHED, ALL WORK IN PROGRESS.
This is a culmination of 2 months of production and 2 weeks of animation. we managed to get this out on time but damn that was one heck of a ride!

Yung masasabi ko lng na constructive criticism is to make the designs, looks (of the engkantos realm and residents) and feel, more Filipino…like their place could be more like Vigan architecture but made from the big Balete’s vines and roots…as well as, showcasing things like landmarks (Banaue Rice Terraces) and clothings like Maria Clara and Barong Tagalog…finally, hoping to see more Filipino halimaws like Manananggals, Tiyanaks, Tikbalangs etc.

Wow, this should be a feature film! I know this is a proof of concept so voice acting quality is understandable, but man this is brilliant, especially yung transformation from dog to 'human'. Who conceptualized that? Haha! And the beautiful 'engkanto' world? That's a world I would want to see more. Please create more of this. Our animation industry needs this kind of quality content. I hope to see your work in theaters soon. Great job to you guys!

I wonder if this project took off? I'm impressed... and trust me, I don't get impressed too easily having worked in the animation industry for more than 30 years now. I get a bit critical with the eyes though, when it comes to 3D animation, coz' they look like dolls to me. Especially when they don't blink. Like @ 1:28-1:39, a double blink would have helped sell that he is looking at something unbelievable. But then again, its just my own opinion. The transformation is awesome! Great job guys! Kudos!

we are in the process of closing a few deals to start preproduction on the film. but cant say for sure when everything will start rolling. yeah quite difficult time with child characters not looking like dolls. but tottaly agree the animation skill we had back then with this is still substandard. im quite confident with our skillset now.

This is so awesome :) The animation is so good, I especially like the part where the boy warps to the world of the enkantos. My only concern is the voice acting as I think the thin enkanto might need some more work. I mean the voice actor could use more energy to deliver the lines or perhaps find a much more fitting voice actor. But anyways, for a small group, you have done well done :) I wish I could see more shows/movies like this in the Philippines.

animation is somewhat ok, almost at par with western level. however, script is BADLY written "hoy pare, d kita kakainin... so SQUATTER lines..." and voice dubbing is cheap. the voice does not match the character...

@@JohnAurthurMercader yes this is very common among many dubbing nowadays... so cringy... pang kanto ang script... sooo cheap... so squatter ng mga linya at chaka din mg mga boses... no wonder epic fail parati ang pinas dito at walang magtyatyagang manood ... nakakainis lang at hindi umaangat ang kalidad ng gawang pinoy...kahit gaano kaganda ang drawing or anime... kung chaka ang story line at overall production... wala rin...
