In a freewheeling conversation on a surprisingly summery day in Mumbai, the creator of our cover home, Anjali Mody of her multidisciplinary design studio, Josmo, brings an unsurpassed pizzazz to the table.
While her design directions and creative instincts are not an unfamiliar tale, her easy and confident wit to take up conversations (and challenges) is what seals the deal for us. Now a full-time Goa resident, Anjali also confesses behind-the-scene adventures of weaving the cover home with a tasteful tropical tenor right in the pulsing core of the urban city, in collaboration with The Architecture Company.
A habit she has picked up for good since after donning a designer’s hat, as the tells us, “Don’t settle for anything but perfection. And this sentence comes with a double edged sword because people love it, but are also silently murdering me in their heads!”
