@@arkaghosh2433 I've been watching Aritra's videos for a very long time, and I know that if they've stopped, it's for good. Aritra and Anjan are both my favorite people, but at that time, what Anjan said about the movie review community was totally wrong. However, the past is the past, and since everything has been sorted out, their last interview with Aritra was also very good. I didn't see any fighting nature between them or any poking at each other during the interview.

This attitude of excluding a majority of Bengalis from your target audience even before you make a film ("Amaar audience toh America/Europe e thake..") is the reason why Bengali industry is dead. The disdain for common people or box office is astounding. If you hold your audience in contempt how can you expect to have a successful industry? Box office == people. If you don't make films for people, who do you make it for? Yourself and your 5 aantel friends? These 'stalwarts' of Bengali cinema have created this culture of pissing on common people and have made it a role model for upcoming artists of Bengal. The consequence is that common people are now permanently detached from Bengali cinema (and by extension Bengali culture) and have moved towards Bollywood.
