As a Maharashtrian extremely proud to see Chhaya tai getting the deserved recognition which was due for years, making us and whole of India proud in Cannes.. But as Cinephile also disappointed how Kani and Divya have be sidelined by the whole media, Would like to give them some space in my comments if FC does not mind plz, Both of them have been representing India every year in one or other Film Festivals with their movies being nominated every year. Divya Prabha 1) Her movie "Ariyippu" got nominated for Golden Leopard and premiered in Concorso Internazionale of the 75th Locarno Film Festival on 4 August 2022. 2) Apart from "All We Imagine as Light" winning in Cannes, her another movie "Family"(2024) has won the Best Film in all these festivals listed below Stockholm Independent Film Festival Third Eye Asian Film Festival Soul Place Film Festival Sevilla Indie Film Festival Kani Kusruti She had a great year as well along with Chhaya tai, she was in major titles this year alone 1) Killer Soup (Netflix) along with Konkona Sen Sharma and Manoj Bajpayee. 2) Poacher (Amazon) by Richie Mehta. 3) She had 2 movies competing in Cannes'24 "All We Imagine as Light" & "Girls Will Be Girls". 4) She has won Best Performance for her film "Briyaani" at Moscow International Film Festival, and Best Actress in Imagine Film Festival Amsterdam, 5) She has very impressive list of works and collaboration in theatres across the global.
