Even if there is debate about the companies and products, I am really liking this channel. I love the format of somewhat raw interviews with people putting the energy to change the world. I really like the diversity of topics covered.

Interesting interview, Anjan shared some wisdom with us! Now I'm really following his company, hopefully Daylight will be successful and bring many different products. If the reviews are positive I might consider the DC1 or DC3.

This guy is very very interesting. And he has delivered a really interesting technology. If you watch the first interviews with Steve Jobs, he came across as rude and aloof. But he also DELIVERED. So please don’t judge the character. Pay attention to the work.

I doubt anyone realises how much productivity society will gain from this product. I know that 80% of my time and work is consumed by destructive and life sucking consumption of inferior information and videos.

Definitely wish it was longer.. Jason maybe consider doing a 3rd act with the founders. Act 1 - main episode Act 2 - 1 on 1 interview Act 3 - open conversation on x spaces with you as host and moderator. Just an idea, to let us see these incredible people for more than 2 short episodes, and also won't be consuming on you to produce ❤

@@rodrigob it's even worse that he's admitting the company is funding purchases for his home. He does not need $5,000 Syng speakers for "market research" or whatever he claimed. Same goes for the Vision Pro and Peloton.

Hi there. I found out about Daylight by the other video on this channel and I decided to dig a little deeper. For what I can see, al the marketing around the device is really careful not the mention what technology they are using for the display. On the other video on this channel, they refer to the tech as e-paper, which is a very generic term used on the e-reader world. E-paper basically only means, daylight readable and with a paper-like feel, this is not the same as e-ink. E-ink is also daylight readable and with a paper-like feel, but the display mechanism is like ink, which means electronically moving pigment to create images, this mechanism is a lot slower, that's why videos on e-readers with e-ink display look really choppy or with really poor contrast. On the other video, Anjan Katta give a general technical explanation of the tech for their display, but honestly it is really nonsensical and the parts where you are able to parse any kind of meaning point to them using a transflective LCD display, that's why they are able to achieve 60 to 120 FPS (According to them), but it is not a new technology.

Hi, my question would be"why building a product around this new technology and not selling it to the best offering or the ones who would build great products with it?"
@Ik0As
@Ik0As 21 күн бұрын
From my point of view there are 2 posible reasons: 1. The founders are really quirky and they want to make a specific product, so the are not interested on selling displays. 2. They can't. Because the display tech isn't theirs. Me personally, I feel like this is combination of both. These guys are getting a display from a 3rd party, assembling a tablet with it and selling a priced up device using old tech and deceptive marketing.

@computing1
@computing1 21 күн бұрын
@@AGI-Bingo people complaining about the price is fair, but calling it a fraud because of the price, I think is unfair. Original iPad came out in 2010, and cost $500. Adjusted for inflation, that is … $719 in 2024 dollars. So basically the same price as the Daylight. Of course, Apple benefited from massive economies of scale and likely had crazy margins in the iPad, which Daylight doesn’t benefit from. I would be shocked if Daylight has much margin if any on its current batches.
