Wow! This is the cleanest, most amazing rendition I've heard since the studio version of Paul Simon's! Congratulations!

Perfect! In the early 70's, I figured out how to play this by listening to the LP over and over again. Now, to see it played, I am proud that I had it correct in every respect. These ears haven't failed me yet! Lovely touch & consistent rhythm. Bravo!

You nailed it, sir! No better version other than (maybe) Paul's own. Thank you for posting!

This is the best version of the song I've heard yet (well ok - I love Paul Simon's version) but this is on a par with Simon's version and I love that you filmed the fingerboard work.
The mastery of this version gives me great sadness. I've been playing it wrong for years. Well done, sir. 😢

Stumbled across this via Chordify (I'm a noob). It's not often I'm compelled to go directly to KZbin to give a "thumbs up," but here I am! Well done!!!!

Outstanding - I prefer this up-tempo version despite other comments here & what Davy Graham may have intended.
best cover of the paul version on youtube! very good work!

this is brilliant the way I think it should be played - fast - so much harder than when played at a slower pace.

Stunningly well played! Always preferred the S&G version to the Bert J original, but you've made it sound much grittier than the slightly "pretty" version on their album

The original is by Davy Graham... ;-) But Simon's rendition is my fave too. And this cover is just perfect!

As I commented on Gordon Giltrap's version - this, his, Jansch's versions, all different, and all great in their own way - its personal taste - chacun a son gaout…. I started playing accoustic guitar and gigging back in late 60;s - always enjoyed trying to play this …. and still trying... but at 71, touches of arthritis kicking in on the fingerpicking hand …. !!!!!???!!!!??? But technically difficult to fault Giltraps' version - check it out.. great live even at his age and state of health.. !!!!!!!!!!!!!
best version yet, it seems to me the record was double tracked at least and we've been trying to figure out how to play some phrases that were a combination of slight variations of the overdubs. You found some nice solutions.

You think? I’ve never thought it sounded overdubbed

Nice playing! I like it fast, like how you did it here with the little "extras" thrown in, but, I also like it slow and bluesy and straight. There isn't any "right" way to play this, cause its just a fun, groovin' tune that's fun to play and listen to. Nice, precise finger work, by the way!
