This was a long one. I recorded this a while ago. #anker #kvm #dockingstation

Great video mate, thanks for the explainer! I find myself needing a KVM and found my way to your video. I'm going to go for a little right-angle usb-c to put on that front port, but it would've been great to have one on the back like you said.

Sounds good! I hope your set-up becomes what you're envisioning. Thanks for the comment! If you haven't done so already, a sub to the channel would be greatly appreciated!

**setup question** I’m looking for a USB-C switcher that allows me to connect my USB-C EarPods to both my Mac Mini (for WhatsApp/Zoom calls) and my Pixel 7 Pro (for cellular calls). Here are the specifics of my setup: **Mac Mini:** Running macOS Ventura, primarily used for WhatsApp and Zoom calls. Pixel 7 Pro: Running Android 13, used for regular cellular phone calls. **USB-C EarPods:** Standard USB-C EarPods with built-in microphone. **Requirements:** The switcher should support seamless switching between devices without needing to unplug and replug the EarPods. It should also maintain audio quality and microphone functionality across both devices. Does anyone know of a USB-C switcher that can handle this setup?

Any random screen flickering, windows startup issues or black screens for a second?

Switching between the laptops is painful. It took 10+ seconds for me. Also, it doesn't wake up my monitors all the time. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone reading this. You would have to disconnect and reconnect cables to force the monitor to wake.

I'm not currently using the dock, but I don't remember having that issue with my PCs. I did have some problems with my Mac Studio. Thanks for the comment. If you haven't done so already, a sub to the channel would be greatly appreciated!

great . so just to be sure I can connect two MacBook Pros using USBC cable to the cvm switch and either one will be charged and share the usb devices as well as send video via usb to the monitor?

From my experience, the answer to your question is yes. Please note that when a device is not the "active" one, it does not have access to the USB ports. I'm not using the switch at the moment, and I cannot remember if the "inactive" device receives power while not in use. If you haven't done so, a sub to the channel would be greatly appreciated!

Can you please share your feedback after a month of usage, specifically with multi laptops with slow charging issue
@followthecable43799 ай бұрын
I need to make a follow up video since it has been a while. I probably wasn't as clear as I could have been. Charging speeds are normal. However, if you have a high performance machine, like the two Dell laptops I have, charging will not be optimal. When I connect my laptop that only requires 65-watts, I do not get a warning of slow charging. But when I connect my machine that came with a 130-watt charger, it always says slow charing, whether I am charging one machine or two. If you haven't already done so, a sub to the channel would be greatly appreciated!

A lot of talking ahead of time. Consider adding chapters to your videos. Thank you for the explanations though.

Is it possible to switch between devices using a keyboard shortcut?
@followthecable43799 ай бұрын
I have not seen that as an option, but that does not mean it isn't possible. Please note that the cable attached to the device switching button is pretty long and magnetic. If you haven't done so, a sub to the channel would be greatly appreciated!
