Issue is these adapters are software driven, so they be using alot of the cpu up. Next it be for 2d only, you will have alot of tearing and video frame skips. Also zi have noticed you usb mouse will also get frame loss and delays equalling eradic mouse movements. Thess adapters are only good reallly for projectors, for power points, pos, advert info displays.

My buddy and I work for the same company so we have the exact same three monitors and the same Dell computer. The only difference is that my HDMI port is located on the left side along with practically all of the other types of ports and where I connect my cable matter. His has his HDMI port located on the right side and still everything is on the left side of other ports for him. He can get all three monitors to work by using the same cable matter box on connecting those two monitors to it and then connecting his third monitor via HDMI to his laptop. But for whatever reason I cannot do that. I don't understand why

Hello, what about the built in display ports like hdmi and mini display ports that come with the laptop? You can hook up additional monitors using those to get another 2 monitors hooked up, for a total of 7 monitors, granted the display port might need an adapter depending on the monitor being connected has the appropriate cables for mini display or not..

Most likely it will work. The USB C port has to support DisplayPort (not all USB C ports do). Thunderbolt ports should support DisplayPort, and there are inexpensive converters that work with those if this docking station does not, for some reason.

It could be that the USB C port you are plugged into does not support DisplayPort video, which is probably required for the USB C hub or docking station to display video on a monitor. Check the specs for the USB C port on your computer to determine if it provides DisplayPort.

Hi , so my laptop has a normal c type port. It's not a lightning c type port. So does the docking station support and work for extending screen to 2 monitors ??
@NerdSidekick5 ай бұрын
Your type C port needs to support DisplayPort. You can look at the port to see if it shows a DisplayPort logo next to it (letter D with a P inside it). Not all ports will have the logo even if they do support DisplayPort. Or check the manual that came with the computer or find it online. Or ask the manufacturer if the port supports DisplayPort.

Hi, Mr. Kelley, I came across your video pertaining to docking station and I have tried several of brand of docking stations and I still cannot get these docking stations to work seamlessly. However, if I start am to switch on the laptop with the docking 's USB-C pre-inserted/attached, the monitors doesn't activate and I have to unplug and re-insert the USB-C inorder to get them working. I have a couple of different monitors that I can power and provide video to the device with a single USB-C cable. You have to have the right USB-C port (on the computer and the monitor) and the right cable. Check product reviews to find out how people are able to connect to devices. You may find that a monitor will work on a single cable, but having a dedicated power cable and video cable works better.

You probably need to change the audio output device. Click on the speaker icon in your taskbar. Then, depending on which version of Windows you are running, you need to select the audio output device. Windows 10 is just a simple click of the up arrow, then selecting the device. Windows 11 requires a click on an icon on the lower right, then choose your output device.

Theoretically, it should work, but you will have to experiment. Power could be an issue if you are using a bus-powered hub (gets power through the USB cable instead of a separate power adapter). You could just use a single hub and get some long monitor cables or long USB cables (or both).
