In this short video I share details and some tips I learned about using this battery generator when going camping.

You’re the perfect group member, when the group only has 2 pages worth of material but the professor wants a 15 minute presentation.

Loved your video. It was casual yet interesting and informative. There is a reason simplicity is ranked so high. Thanks.

I've been considering buying a gas generator to supplement my Ecoflow River Pro Power Station. Your video supports that thought. I just may make the plunge! I also have a 160 watt solar panel, but it's often difficult to find a shade-free clearing where I like to camp. The shade is great for me, but not so great for the solar power generation. My plan would be to use the gas generator to charge the power station during the daytime, so I can use the silent running power station at night, when everyone (including myself) wants it quiet.

That sounds like a great plan if your campsite doesn't have electric. Take Care

Behind every solar battery device is a good generator, with a couple panels you will have a great setup. Happy camping!

Thanks for your comment and support. I just received today my backordered Anker 625 solar panel that I made reference to in the video . The 757 supports up to 3 or 300 watts so I'm contemplating getting a second or possibly a 3rd one, when they go on sale. :)

I forgot to mention this in the video. I alluded to it but if you have an option to use propane gas for any appliance like your refrigerator/freezer or water heater, select that option. (notice I didn't say water heater. This bugs me when I hear it because you're not heating hot water!!!) I selected propane only and it ran my refrigerator/freezer all weekend and it still has propane left in the tank at the end of the weekend so the usage wasn't that much. Maybe this is a dah moment for you veteran "dry campers" but since it was my first experience with "dry camping" it made a difference conserving the power in my battery generator. By doing this conservation of power made the power available when I needed it for the momenary power hungry appliances that I use like my Keurig coffee maker or my toaster. David

I wasn't able to recharge my 757 with 2 different gas powered generator. I tried using a 700 watt and a 1500 watt gas generator. Neither wouldn't charge the 757. I'm stumped as to why it wouldn't charge. Any wild guess?
@MacsForever19 ай бұрын
Hi I just saw this message now. The 757 requires 1000 watts source to charge th 757 so the 1500 watt should work.

That a good idea. What kind of a place did you go to while passing time while your power supply charged? I'm a David to. WB8ZXZ

I left the park and sat on the shoulder just outside of the campground. Just don't use the battery generator with you Kerig because that drains the battery generator really fast. :). Rather find an open camp site with electric and bring your Kerig, water and your K-cups and you'll be all set!

Does it make sense to buy a 5000w inverter and a 200ah lifepo4 battery or this?
@MacsForever13 ай бұрын
I guess you have to do the cost comparison. This guy when it was on sale like Black Friday was $699. The 757 also allows hooking up 3 of the Anker 625 solar panels delivering up to 300 watts to recharge the battery generator.
@hamiresid76453 ай бұрын
@@MacsForever1 Yes, the cost is too high with solar panels. I will not use the power panel for the inverter and battery. I will use a charger instead. Do you have any recommendations for a battery charger for 200 amps?

No I'm sorry I don't.@@hamiresid7645

yes. burn fuel to make heat, rather than using electricity.
@ssteele18127 ай бұрын
Camper refrigerators use evaporation and condensing of ammonia to cool the fridge. When using electric, there is a heating coil that evaporates the ammonia. when on propane, the burner does it. This is why so many campers that have access to electricity are switching to regular compressor fridges. they are much more efficient. You are lucky that you were only losing 400 ish watts. the coils are rated at 1000 watts. Your fridge must have been precooled.
@MacsForever17 ай бұрын
Yes it was pre-cooled. Thanks for the explanation of how Propane usually used for heat can provide cooling too!

You are supposed to be camping, make a fire to boil water to make coffee, no brainer !!! Cook over your fire, no brainer !!! Learn how to live without electricity !!!
@MacsForever110 ай бұрын
You're right! I use to do all that in my younger years, also sleeping in a tent. As I grow older I still build a fire but just for my wife and I to sit around an enjoy getting away from it all. I was going to complain about the lack of WiFi or the slow internet data speed at the State Park but I think that would be over the top! :) Thanks for your comment Bob...

You’re right. I’m here researching, trying to figure out if I should buy this and I keep thinking about how I didn’t need this when I was camping as a kid.
