❤️ Specifics make a review authentic, and that's how I evaluate yours. Decibel meter, 2 hrs 30 mins battery life over 1200 sq feet, specifics on servicing & replacements, the Q&A offering precise answers make it a genuinely valuable review. Thank you, and I loved it I'm a senior, living in a 800 sq feet, single floor, all laminate condo, and think this model to be the perfect fit. I'll appreciate if you can comment on how often would the bristle brush require replacement if used just twice a week.
@TopHomeowner3 жыл бұрын
Thank you, your comment brightened my day! So far we have not had to replace the bristle brush and we use it 3-4 times a week. I do try to clean out the bristles every other use. My hair (I'm Mark's wife) sheds bad and I remove the bristles to cut the hair and strings it has accumulated off. The rubber gasket around the bristle portion has fallen off (which is replaced at the same time as the bristles) but we haven't noticed a difference in the performance. We have owned it about 6 months and I will let you know when we finally replace the bristles. We will also do an update video to help answer questions that we have received but want to make sure we put it through the tests too. Thank you again for your comment.

I have a roomba right now. She’s a stoopid vac. Our living room and kitchen are open and if I want her in one room or the other she won’t stay. She doesn’t clean in a straight line. Will this at least clean in a straight line? I sweep but I use my robo vac as a back up when I’m in another room. I need it cleaning in straight lines and not in sparatic diagonals
@TopHomeowner Жыл бұрын
Yes, this pattern is a lot different than a roomba. It's mainly straight lines...although it does sometimes do a room at an angle for some reason. Much much less chaotic than other brands I've seen

Hey, thanks for the review! I have a 2 storey home and I'm looking at getting one of these. Would I be able to set it to do downstairs one day, then carry it upstairs the next and get it to vacuum upstairs?
@TopHomeowner2 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can do that. This model actually re-maps every time it runs, so moving it between floors is fine
@JasonandaCamera2 жыл бұрын
Hi, great video. I have a Q: how does it work when you pick it up and place it in another room? Example: I have the 25C (love it) and regularly carry it upstairs to clean my bedroom and office. Its dock is downstairs. This is never an issue as it uses random navigation, but the G30 uses smart navigation to more efficiently map its cleaning. So, would pausing it midway thru a downstairs cleaning and bringing it upstairs cause issues such as messing with its path? Given that I would be interrupting it? Or would it know to "refresh" its route once I move it elsewhere? Hope this makes sense, thank you :)
@TopHomeowner2 жыл бұрын
It refreshes the map every time it cleans so if you paused it during a cleaning cycle and moved it to an entirely different area... I think it may have some problems. Although I can't say that I've tried this. I assume it remaps every cycle to prevent it from cleaning the same area twice and account for things that can move around like furniture and toys. At first I thought it would map the floor and then remember it for the next time, but it doesn't. Moving to a different floor before it starts should work OK. Every time you pick it up when it's cleaning (or paused) it tells you to put it back in the same place. I hope this answers your question!

@blueskythinking83122 жыл бұрын
It kept going over this area under a square coffee table and each time it missed the tiny flower petals and other light debris under the table. It kept pushing it away with the brush where it would escape the suction of the vacuum. It just annoyed the crap out of me. Mapping seems shitty too if you have a complicated layout
@TopHomeowner2 жыл бұрын
Sometimes our boys have to "rescue" it. I think the more expensive models use a laser as well for mapping and obstacle avoidance
@Saybooboy2 жыл бұрын
Ah, this is a great review - just what I was looking for, thanks so much (all the way over in the UK!) Just one question. My parents have some precious furniture and I am worried about it banging into it. From your review I think you say the brushes sweep around anything in it’s way so doesn’t actually touch anything, but I just wanted to check before I go ahead? Thanks so much!
@TopHomeowner2 жыл бұрын
The brush helps to sweep debris into it's path. To be clear, the vacuum will still bump into objects lightly and maneuver around them. I personally wouldn't be concerned about it damaging anything because it's really gentle and the front has a soft bumper, and it uses infrared sensors to try and avoid obstacles as well. That said, you understand what's best, so if that doesn't sound like it will work for your parents' furniture then it's always best to play it safe. They have higher-end models that use a laser for mapping as well (like the X8) so that may be a better option for you.

Much better sucks then my old vacuum cleaner and I love that you can record your own voice for it, I have it cussing up a storm every time it doesn't action LOL. And like everybody has a problem with it getting stuck in the furniture I will have to figure out a way to increase the heights of the bumpers basically give it eyebrows, oh and by the way I've named mine Babette they even make French costumes to put on these things feather duster included LOL

Hi, very thorough review! I've been thinking about getting this vs a roomba i7, my house is not very big and mostly wood floors but I do have a lot of uh obstacles in the house, which one would you think is better?
@TopHomeowner3 жыл бұрын
This is honestly the only robot vac we've used so I can't speak to other brands. One thing we liked about eufy was that the patterns are more logical. Roomba's tend to vacuum in lots of different directions which makes them seem less efficient. To me at least. If you have a lot of obstacles, paying for one that has a laser based scanner as well might be your best option. Hope this helps!

Excellent video. Thank you. It looks like you didn't have any problems with the vac starting from an area smaller than the manual suggested. Do you still keep it at the same spot? No problems with that smaller area? We don't have the area they say to use in the manual and are curious how small a starting spot we can get away with?
@TopHomeowner3 жыл бұрын
We do keep it in the same spot and haven't had any issues really. It does a really good job of lining up and approaching the base at the correct angle. Maybe once or twice it has pushed it base down the wall or landed on it oddly but I think that had more to do with it docked on carpet vs hard surface.

Thanks for your review. I was wondering if you could share your experience with durability of the 30G vacuum since April 21. Has the noise level change? Any other updates to your initial impression?
@TopHomeowner3 жыл бұрын
No change to the noise level. The "sweeping" bristles are getting worn down so those will need to be replaced soon. I will say it would be nice if it would figure out the most efficient path from previous cleanings, but it seems like it has to relearn every time.

What is your experience on the battery life and charge time? Several comments on other sites show 45 min battery life, 6 hours charge time. Is that accurate?
@TopHomeowner3 жыл бұрын
For standard suction, we get between 1 1/2 - 2 hours of runtime. I assume the other settings would reduce the runtime, but we've never tried them because we don't need it. It does take a while to fully charge but I don't think its 6 hours, more like 2-3. It's definitely not a quick solution, but since it vacuums our carpets more frequently than we would, it's great for us. Hope this helps!
