I prefer GFCI breakers. When a GFCI receptacle trips, I have to hunt for which receptacle has tripped. One for the kitchen may be in the kitchen while the one for the bathroom may be in the garage. With a GFCI breaker, the tripped breaker will always be in the circuit breaker box.

I used to work in the professional CCTV branch since 1997 (til 2020) providing our costumers huge systems of Bosch, Sony, Hitachi, LG, Avigilon and so on. With that said, bought this gem for the summer house and WOW it is impressive in so many ways. Damn perfect for remote use! Replaces at least 4 conventional cameras.

If you are going away for an extended period of time ; turn off your water and drain your water pipes. Then dump some Eco-friendly anti-freeze in all your drain traps

Lemon oil takes anything gooey or sticky off it's way better than goo gone. Sometimes you have To let it sit on something for a minute but it rubs right off. I used it to remove the 2 inches of excess goo from the caulk strip around the base of my tub. Soak a rag with lemon oil, not, so it's a dripping. The caulk get sticky and and gooey so rub it in circles and change the place on the rag. I found its easier than sitting on the side of the tub trying to scrape that goo off or sitting on the floor bent over and it's cheap. Use Lysol wipes and alcohol to get the oil off and, like he said make sure you get it all off. And thank you for the video. The whole sponge thing makes it a lot easier to get it off the Chrome.

FYI, if installing the GCFI circuit breaker, you are required by code to label all outlets as GCFI-protected.

I have a Nutone 663 L fan model from the late '80's with an integrated light. I replaced the motor and fan once before many years ago and just replaced it again about two week ago. It sounds louder than before the replacement with a loud humming sound. The inner metal shield and outer grill are held in by a bolt and wingnut, not springs. Without them installed, the fan doesn't make the humming noise. With the inner shield and grill installed it runs normally for about 5 minute and then kicks into a fairly loud hum. Tried different tightening levels with the wingnut, but in the past it just worked in with use until the humming noise went away. Do you have any ideas on how to fix this from the beginning rather than having to wait for it to break-in? Thanks!

Hi, I have a GE induction slide-in like the one in your video. It is a couple of years old and new to me, so I have no idea how it works. The major problem now is when I turn any burner on, a very noisy sound starts and continues - it is a rattling sound that is from the strip at the back of the cooktop. I assume there is a fan back there but it is REALLY noisy. I do to know the history, although this loud noise does not seem normal. I have been reading that the fan might be dirty or something stuck in it, but how would I access that? Would I have to pull the stove out from the wall or should I call a repairman? Please help. Thanks very much.

Mine will trip once or twice a day in my living room. I have tried everything I can think of but nothing seems to stop it from tripping. Is it possible that a fish tank heater can cause it to trip? I went and purchased a new higher quality heater and nothing changed.

Good video, I would only add that if the GFCI won't reset, most GFCI's won't reset unless 120 volts are present at the Line-in side. You may show power with a non-contact tester because even if it's just 2 volts, the non-contact tester will show voltage. You need to test with a multi-meter to make sure you have 120v line-in or the GFCI won't reset.

Anyone think it odd he never mentions this is an induction range? Is he concerned people will be outraged to learn about rapid boils and unparalleled simmering if they can’t have the emissions of a gas range?

Hi, recently we had maintenance done on our home gas fireplace. The inside fireplace brick wall was resurfaced with grouting. Question: Should I spray paint the brick wall with high heat paint or leave it as is? I see in your video that the grout does not appear to be painted. Thanks for your help.

Terrible design though. Directions state it must be in 4 studs and then places the mounting holes shorter than what is needed to hit all 4.

All locks by this company are extremely easy to pick. Most of which don't even need single pin picking can be easily accomplished with raking techniques less than 1 minute.

Maybe it was just me, but originally mounted the sensor to the bottom as shown in video and really took a long time for the fan to come on. Moved it to the side about half way up. Now it’s perfect.

Could it be my one GFI outlet in my garage is just bad and needs to be replaced? Every time i reset it, it pops within seconds. Could replacing the GFI outlet be the answer?

We have two bathrooms upstairs that will trip our 20 amp breaker. We have replaced the GFCI outlets and it still happens. The breaker box was completely upgraded by licensed electricians four years ago due to a sunroom addition. We aren’t overloading the outlets and have manually installed two new GFCI outlets but it still trips. Any suggestions on what is causing this?
@akulkis

Put each bathroom on its own separate circuit. The breaker is tripping due to too much current being pulled through it. A blow dryer on high pulls current in the range of 13 to 15 amps. Two of them together pulls 26 to 30 amps, tripping your 20 amp breaker. I'll bet the electrician suggested that you separate the rooms and you considered it to be too expensive.
