Just seeing your video after years of being diagnosed with cervical spondylitis. How is Ankylosing spondylitis different from cervical spondylitis? I find the exercises useful

Thanks for the very informative and helpful video, my pain gradually subsides as i do more exercise but when i sit during work and waking up after sleep i get some pain, basically cant do sit ups...it hurts a lot i tested positive for hla b27, but does that mean i have ankylosing spondilitis? i heard that there is a medicine such as IL-17 inhibitors and one other medicine to prevent the progression of AS, but are these medicines safe to use? or have serious and dangerous side effects? is there a cure to this disease or just exercise is the only option?

So far there is no medicine to use. Exercise and activity modification is the key 🙏❤️

@Masahiro Kouta: I have AS. HLA-B27 alone is not sufficient to diagnose. Besides typical symptoms, there are inflammatory markers such as CRP, ESR that needs to be done through blood test. Xray or MRI is also needed but will not always show if you are in early stages. And yes, there are several biologic drugs (such as Humira) that are used to slow the progression. I was recently diagnosed and part of my spine is already fused but I decided to try the natural way first (anti inflammatory diet such as AIP, and low/no starch diet, lots of exercise and stretching, sleep hygiene, lower stress) for 6 months. Thankfully, my rheumatologist agreed. I’m one that hates pharmaceutical drugs if can be avoided. If after having done all, it shows my AS has progressed then I will consider using the biologic injection. But if it shows that through the strict diet and exercise, it’s stable, I will continue doing what I’m doing. But I hope you don’t have AS. :)

Hello bob My name is saan and im from india . Im 20 years old . 1.5 years ago i was having eye problems which was keep coming back few months so after 1 years my doc told me to do blood test and found out i have hla b27 positive , so told me to consult blood doctor and after doing mri they found i have AS. So what are precautions should i take cause im currently studying and 20 years old . Im really worried about my future and career 😢
