My favorite thing about Ann is that she's visibly exhausted and socially awkward most of the time and the two most important people in her life are inhumanly energetic extroverts

I think it's because both Chris and Leslie are aware that Ann is socially awkward and they don't try to force her to do extroverted things that she doesn't want to do. They respect her and her boundaries and they adjust their plans to include her in activities she feels comfortable with. They don't have an issue slowing things down if it means Ann gets more enjoyment. It's really sweet. Plus with how energetic the two are they probably are used to slowing down for other people (except for maybe Andy).

Chris was the character that really brought out Ann's awkwardness and developed her character. Before, no one really challenged her in any way and then Chris came along. I love their dynamic and it made Ann a really funny character and all her quirks really began to shine in the show.

Chris & Ann were so smitten with each other because they were both surprised at how happy they made each other. Ann felt like she could be unapologetically herself around Chris, and Chris felt like he could tell Ann anything. They have unconditional support for each other and I love it.

Chris's journey over the course of the show is one of my favorite things to look back on. He goes on one hell of a wild ride, always with that smile on his face. Anne goes through some stuff too, of course. But Chris's journey kicks it up to 11 a few more times.
