Katie and Meredith were less professional and more people people..Ann was a more traditional news anchor not letting her personal opinion sway the report. With Katie and Meredith you could tell how they felt by the way they spoke, but with Ann she was more neutral/professional..I don't think women liked that as much, I maybe wrong, but I think women wanted someone who would decide for them or let them know how they felt about it, while Ann was more objective about it. I'm not saying one is better and if anything Ann's objectivity was more professional, but not as personable.

william finnell she tried to report Matt Lauer for sexual harassment for someone who Matt harassed in the studio. Matt gave NBC an ultimatum afterwards that if Ann isn’t fired then he will leave.

After her firing from today show (which only after his firing did I start to think Matt might’ve something to do with it), she would occasionally sub for Brian Williams and Lester Holt on NBC Nightly News until January 2015. Than she departed NBC and now has her own sort of like show....she got her revenge on Matt and NBC by making her own show cause it’s a shame she was even fired in the first place

What networking companies and broadcasting T.V shows don't realize is that, due to a high fast paced work environment, and the evolution of technology, many people don't simply sit on couches or behind desks anymore and watch through news cast on story lines due to not having enough time from work, school, expanding their education, etc. They get their news from short sources like google and from their cell phone apps that are replacing these programs. It has nothing to do with popularity .
