I am 82 years old and will never forget that Ann-Margret came to Vietnam to help us forget the war for a few minutes. It was something that I never forgot and anything that she performed in I saw after that to try and give back to her all she gave to us when we needed cheering up the most. Thank you sweet lady and may you always live in the hearts of "your guys"

I met her in 1964 on my 8th grade class trip to the worlds fair.. I was with about 10 of my class mates when we spotted her, it was after Bye Bye Birdie was in the movies. She was incognito but we knew it was her, we all gathered around her screaming ANN MARGRET, ANN MARGRET All holding our class autograph books, she patiently signed each one, gave us all a hug, she knew at that time she would be surrounded with other people, and be recognized ,but she made our day, she was warm, sweet, loving and seeing her was better then the day at the worlds fair, she was our idol, she is still as kind and sweet as I remember her. There is a saying that you should never meet your idols as they will fail to live up to your expectations. Not only did Ann-Margret live up To my expectations she surpassed them. The very first thing you notice is her striking good looks. She must be responsible for many whip lashes as she definitely turns heads. She is physically the most beautiful woman I have ever seen in my 60 years. Her outer beauty is only surpassed by her inner beauty she is funny, kind, generous, genuinely humble without that need to talk about herself or seek attention as we see so many “celebrities” do these days. Celebrity used to be synonymous with talent. Not anymore. People like the narcissistic Kardashian’s garner far more attention than they deserve

I was a young Tenor doing mostly walk on parts at the NYC Opera and Beverly Sills another stunning Redhead took a liking to me and i told her i always had a obsessive crush for Redheads and she asked me who was my favorite and i told her Ann-Margret . A week later i got my 1st leading role and afterwards i was in my dressing room and a knock at the door and i open it and there was Bev with Ann-Margret the both of them smiling from ear to ear. Needless to say i was so stunned i just froze and did ca-ca in my pants. I've never seen a more beautiful woman than Ann-Margret and to shake her hand and get a compliment from her was the highlight of my life. After i caught my breath i told her indeed she was the most beautiful woman I'd ever seen and of course not to slight Beverly i said Bev was the greatest Soprano in the World which she was at the time.

She's obviously so sincere in her love and respect for the guys in service. It's kind of sad to see people you admire age so much, but then again, why sad? It happens to us all. Another thing she did right, she looks fantastic! Her face isn't pulled so tight that she can't move it anymore like some celebrities, including Cher, and even Jane Fonda now. How can you act when you can't even move your face? Nothing wrong with surgery to look better, but Ann-Margret still looks like a real person, instead of trying to pretend she's 25. They all should have gone to her surgeon! Class is something you can't fake, either you've got it or you don't, and she's got it.

Such a raw natural talent. Hers and Elvis’s lives paralleled each others . ..she had her own singing quartet at 18, he was looking to join one when he was 18. They’re both Earth signs, met on a major film set, shared top billing and complimented each other’s talents effortlessly. She, in her memoirs of him described owning a mutual chemistry or in her words, an electrical current, that once it was unleashed it could not be sent back to be caged. She said it was suddenly finding a relative you never knew you had and it turned out to be a soulmate.
