Between 1969 and 1979 she had nineteen records on the Hot R&B Singles chart, two made the Top 10, besides the above "I Can't Stand The Rain", her other Top 10 record was "Part Time Love", it peaked at #7 in 1970... Ann Lee Peebles will celebrate her 71st birthday in three months on April 27th {2018}...

Hear this cover in the full, finished album version and you'll be in awe. This great video is a studio view with only a fraction of the final mix, but it's grand, nonetheless. Miss Ann's phrasing on this cover is so much more mellow and mature than her original cover. That early single made me a fan, but her continued presence has been awesome. Guess you can tell that I love her voice. She's such a lovely lady, too.
