The thing that a lot of people don't get or understand is just because it's called the blues doesn't mean you have to be in a sad or depressive state to listen to it or play it. Sometimes even the "bluesiest" blues song can be one heckuva pick me up. It's definitely a genre of mood music and the same song you listen to one day to really pick you up may very well be the same song you want to listen to when you're down and out. There's no other music like it in the world!!

I've loved the blues for many decades. I came across this one by Daniel Castro and it resonates though and through me. The way he plays and sings this song is so powerful, and every time I hear it, I'm the one he's singing to.
