I was also yelling at the TV during your video, “ just follow Anna’s instructions, that she provided, at no extra cost, which work perfectly because she already did the testing and all the hard work!” Sometimes yes, we want to take shortcuts or make it easier, but for embossing her dies, I’ve used the 2 step method with no problems no figuring out new sandwiches etc. so easy just to follow the instructions for properly getting the cuts/embossing you want. I have the original Empress and just got her mini for traveling. The mini fits in her AG mini tote bag perfectly with room for all the plates and more dies.

Thank you for sharing, I got the mini and I use a self healing mat cut it down to size never need to buy plates ever again 🤗try it it works

As a Griffinte, who owns the big empress and have ordered the mini, you were driving me crazy. I am yelling at your video like you could hear me. One pass works with the metal shim under the magnetic plate. I cut into the magnetic plate with out the embossing folder, and get a good embossed impression. Keep testing and come back with your suggested sandwiches, if I did not have many machines I may have been confused but I could follow you. When I say that the empress is quieter, I am comparing to the big Gemini. I like the foot print of the empress and it cuts AG dies better than the Gemini. I was really tearing up my mats with her dies in the Gemini, since they are thicker. Thanks funny lady, I always enjoy your approach. 🙏🏾🙏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾😘

Hi Felecia, How you doin? The Empress's child is a Princess, sweeter than calling it the mini (imho). Your analogy "building our sandwiches," hit my funny bone 😂😂😂.Brain-fog occurs now and again to all, like my not hitting the subscribe bell after telling you that TM should hire you as their spokes-person. So, how funny is that! Lol. Your "show-and-tell" through your two-stores (in your neck of the woods) with jam-packed goodies which we hope to find, is amazing.And the "die-dates" reference cracks me up-every time, but outcomes always are of value.Thank you for cutting red-tape for us, and sharing ways to arrive to "best sandwiches" for our crafty machines. Thanks again for doing the testing for us. Got mine yesterday but haven't played with it yet. I wonder what you are waiting on. I have the big Gemini and wonder if Ishould just get a set of plates the Gemini Junior. Because the main reason I got the Mini Empress was for speed. On Craft Day, Anna cut and embossed “in one pass” right on her magnetic mat. I was surprised so I went to my Big Momma Gemini and using the dies you used here, had beautiful results embossing on that big ornament. So while awaiting my Empress Mini, I’m working on the Big Momma Gemini. I need to toss my Gemini Jr in the bulk trash because I’ve broken cutting plates, used new clean plates ONCE with bowing of the plate and was unusable by the third pass. My engineer boyfriend wanted to experiment on these bowed plates, so he laid the plate on our slate sidewalk and put a 100 lb slate on top and left it for 7 days. No difference, still bowed, machine won’t accept it, new plates go through once and curls up like a Dorito coming out the machine. So awaiting the Empress Mini and look forward to more of your videos!

When you do one have a pad an write it down how you did it and do the next one and Write it down again an so on. That what I had to do when I got the Cuddle bug Love how you just keep on trying. I like how you demonstrate.

I have the Empress, and the Gemini, without a doubt the empress out preforms the Gemini. The plates on the Gemini drove me crazy. Anna Griffin plates, well over a year, same plates no warping. I have had to replace the magnetic mat.

You need to cut first, using the instructions on the left page, then emboss using the instructions on the right side...Cut first, emboss second. Always fun to watch. Also, not all AG dies are cut & emboss, some are only cut dies. Gotta write those sandwiches down...was playing around last night with a self-cutting mat and OMG..such a difference. Hahaa...about sandwiches...you should have a Hero...for all your efforts. LOL!

I am not sure you will see this since your post was 3 yrs. ago. But I did just enjoy your video and finding you on KZbin. In your video towards the end you mentioned that you had ordered a replacement for the Anna Griffin magnetic mat (and that it would be alot cheaper). I searched and searched thru your videos from 3 yrs. ago and couldn't find what your alternative was or how it worked. I saw a subsequent video where you mentioned using Cricut mats but that was for a shim so I am not sure that was your replacement for the magnetic mat. As I said, I hope you see this because I do love my Empress but I got the large one when it was first on HSN and it came with the "crappy" magnetic mat that they revamped (sadly after my purchase). HSN never sells the regular size mat set. They only sell the mini and the extra large that are $66. Thank you!

Actually, you're supposed to emboss immediately after die cutting the shape by not removing the paper die cut from the die, just switch up the plate configuration run it through again to emboss. When I first began die cutting, this step confused me for a minute until I realized you leave the die cut in the die, then emboss. I messed up plenty of die cuts this way. I also messed up my magnetic mats when I cut into them with my Gemini and other machines using dies. I think I'll stick with cutting and embossing my paper face up.

Hi that last embossing was good but it shud not have need your own shim you created to be perfect tho. And her machine was never ever quite I thot well what’s wrong with mine it’s noises no matter where I sit it to cut lol. I felt like they turned the volume down on the show. Great video yiur sooo funny
