She literally CELEBRATED AWAY the gold medal and knocked herself completely out of medal contention entirely in Paris due to over celebrating. She puts up the longest javelin throw of her career, sees it's a HUGE throw basically locking up a gold medal, then starts jumping around and celebrating BEFORE actually winning... and ends up jumps right over the foul line and DQing herself. Such a stupid mistake. Such a shame. Goes from a guaranteed Gold to 5th.

It's like you didn't listen to this video at all. Everything this young lady went through and then overcoming and coming back, I would be so grateful to even be there of course i'm gonna celebrate for myself. She deserves it. She'll be back. I'm proud of her either way.

​@@J32_ I DID watch the entire vid which is WHY her literally throwing away an Olympic Gold for a silly & totally UNNECESSARY reason makes the circumstance ALL THE WORSE!!! She overcame so many setbacks to get to Paris. She worked her ass off. Got back into World #1 peak fitness..... AND THEN THREW IT ALL WAY due to CELEBRATING/PARTYING. It's akin to a football winning the natl championship w/ no time left on the clock and then having the touchdown nullified for excessive celebrating in the endzone. Basically a 100% UNFORED DQ that cost her The Show, and in this case likely millions in endorsement & partnership deals. I'm sure she'll learn from this. She is an amazing athlete. But you pretending Hall should be thankful for simply showing up is ridiculous. She was in World #1 Shape. She had gold LOCKED. Full STOP. Instead, went home with 5th.... for NO GOOD REASON.
