For example, take the Ecart or Fallaway Whisk. In paso doble choreography, you can develop the Ecart more especially when you get into open style paso in dancesport, by ending that whisk as a press line (a great leg line) and holding it for several beats before going into any desired figure. (Note that the press line is also seen in the Flamenco Taps with Spanish Lines figure in Paso.) Using the same idea in the Chasse Cape, which is "1 2 3 4 and 5 6 7 8 and 9 10 11 12 13 and 14" in timing, you can challenge the lady by doing a change of hands on yourself on every lady's curved-turn pass on the chasse cape, to widen your stance and poise, so you and your partner look even bigger on the dancesport floor to the audience and to the judges.
