I'm one of those people who read the scriptures beginning in my early teens. Consequently, I simply could not remain deceived by my uncle Ervil. He and I parted company in 1967-68. The last time I saw him, was in 1971, in San Diego...before he broke with Uncle Joel. As a Christian myself, it is heartwarming, to hear her story, and to know that she has found "The Truth, The Light, And The Life!!!"

Hi Anna Thank you for speaking out. My cousin was forced to marry Ervil when she was 16 - she was wife #9 - Debra Bates. I am grateful you were able to escape the hell of family life with Ervil and his followers.

I went to the same Christian School that school as her in Houston and my family was devastated when we heard about her uncle and sister. I was very young then, so it is amazing to hear the rest of the story.

I am related to Ervil, being one of his great grandchildren (though I was probably one of MANY.), and my grandma was one of his kids.

OMG! Amazing and courageous testimony, Anna! You're my hero. I'm so touched by your story and ordered your book. Also, I'll for sure use your resources for my clients. Thank you for paving the way for others to be courageous. As I say, breathe in fresh AIR: Awareness, intentionality, and risks. You've given us such a life-giving and growth story. I had goosebumps as I watched!

It is amazing at how many stories I come across of people who leave these fundamentalist polygamous groups and come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. It shows Jesus is active everywhere!

Anna you are wonderful . I wish the interviewer was able to enter into it with better questions, much like Lauren on Hidden a True Crime Podcast. Sending you love Anna 💜

Old comment, but have you read Favorite Wife and Daughters of Zion? The author of Favorite Write was the sister wife of Irene Spencer. I have been doing a deep dive on the LeBaron family.

Ervil LeBaron served a short mission for the LDS church. How he was able get past the vetting, I don't know. He was companion to my father for 3 weeks. My father complained this guy was teaching false doctrine to the mission president and Ervil was sent home after less than 2 months. My father said he was a weird one, "not much of an Elder". My father and I were watching a documentary on Ervil and my father mentioned almost in passing they were missionary companions in The Netherlands. My father didn't say much, other than what I wrote above.

She has the same facial structure as Robyn from Sister Wives.Which isn’t shocking as all of these polygamist groups came from the same handful of men who first formed as a single group after the mainline LDS church banned polygamy. That group of men went on to form several splinter groups and marry among each other to this day.
@THEOLYMPIAGUY3603 жыл бұрын
That’s the second time I heard her say LDS banded polygamy in 1990. It was actually in 1890.

She's just conning people out if their money, not all polygamist do this to their families. Mainstream media love to put out all the bad stuff about polygamy, yet never a whole lot about the good side and people who do it, like Anne Wilde; she goes out and tells the good things it benefits for large families. Let's see more positive vid's on this subject.

Research her dad... All true.
@nicholasmason73956 жыл бұрын
@@hazelwesson-peterson9633 that may have happened to her by her father, but what her father did does not represent all polygamists, the point I am making is she is just tearing down the good polygamist along with the bad, that's not right. And by not talking about the people who don't do evil like her father she is just going around conning people putting all polygamist in a negative light.

@@nicholasmason7395 I understand. Media trashes many good things and good people. Believe me, I get it. I meant no harm.

@@hazelwesson-peterson9633 sorry if what I said seemed aggressive, I did not mean it to be, I just wished media would show unbiased material, but I think we both know that will never happen, but like I said sorry if I seemed aggravated in my wording, I was not, not towards you, but I would be aggressive towards mainstream media.
