10:00 I've rewatched this like 10 times in slow motion and no part of Fahey or her paddle were even close to the kitchen. What am I missing?

i don't know the rules but she stepped on the line I think you can't step on that line

I think, after she volley at the kitchen, her paddle touches the floor to balance herself and that's is not allowed (somewhat similar to after volleying, your foot enters the kitchen). Could this be the answer?

@@thiagoribeiro021 ref called paddle contacted ground inside kitchen - that did not happen.
@thiagoribeiro02113 күн бұрын
@@timhardman4764 I don't know, but she did not complain so it seems to be a right call by the ref
@timhardman476413 күн бұрын
@@thiagoribeiro021 A complaint or lack of complaint by a player has nothing to do with determining whether or not the call by the referee was correct or incorrect. If you zoom in and play in slow motion, it is OBVIOUS that the spot where the paddle touches the court surface IS NOT in the kitchen or the non-volley zone. The ref said her paddle contacted the court in the kitchen thus she is wrong based on the video evidence. Refs are humans, they make mistakes too, this is just an example of a Ref making a mistake. If you can't see this when playing the video at .25 speed and zoomed in then your screen is of poor quality, your streaming speed is of poor quality or your eyesight is of poor quality.

How did Waters score her first 3 pts? Is there another video? I feel like this is a common problem watching this on KZbin

Looks like Fahey changed up her serving mechanics a bit from the last few of her matches I watched.

True. At 9:59, paddle touched court but 4" outside of kitchen line....not a good call Ref.

Who ever play against Anna Leigh you must challenge close calls out because she always call the ball out when it is really in. I agreed Anna Leigh is best player wirkd no: 1. But she should not calls out when the ball in. I hope she won’t be shouting loud fight fight fight her famous word when she feels like she is loosing. If she wanted to motivate herself she should does it to herself not the world wanted to know. It is very irritating to watch. No one does it only she does it.

No one does it;only she does it, that’s what you said correct? No one is number one in the world in all three divisions, only she is! Maybe some others should talk to themselves as well, I’m thinking! I have been playing sports competitively my entire life and I’ve always talk to myself and I know many of my colleagues do as well. Whatever it takes to motivate yourself is what an athlete should do. If you don’t like it how about turning down your volume as there are others of us who enjoy it, and understand it, and identify with it... Libraries are very quiet places, might actually just you read a book about PICKLEBALL instead of watching the game if it bothers you…

You've commented on several of her videos about her shouting when she's "loosing". Stop watching if you don't like watching when she's losing! It gets her pumped up; athletes do it in all sports. As far as out calls, you're right - ALW seems to have one or two bad calls every match.
