Who is watching this in 2023 and realizing that the earlier comments about ALW’s game did not age well. She is now only the best in the world by FAR.

It’s cute to see a lot of ALW manners that she still shows in 2023/2024.

Watching it after 5 years or so...seems nostalgic to see ALW and William as small kids...from there to the legend ALW has become at such a yong age.. WIlliam is not donig bad either...but the game used to be so slow to what it is now

Wow, 3:27 shot was not even close to be in, yet no one mentioned it.

I noticed that, too. It hit out by like eight inches.

Yeah those ATPs can be tough to see where exactly they bounce first, since their angle is so low to the ground compared to a normal shot that has to clear the net. Especially when they are hit with pace like this one was. I didn't notice it the first time, but upon slowing it down to 1/4 speed, it clearly wasn't close to being in bounds.

She is a natural racket player, with exceptional feel and balance. She really needs to get into a tennis academy and start playing against world class junior tennis players. Pickleball is a nice sport, but tennis is where she needs to be, as it far more financially lucrative than pickleball.

Very interesting. Rachel as you know, her father owns Engage pickleball, and she routinely plays in adult mixed doubles with the best players such as Kyle Yates, and she plays in adult women's doubles. She should have been a strong favorite here. But her team didn't do what you see in adult mixed doubles. In adult mixed doubles the players usually pick on the women. The winning team here picked on Rachel, but Rachel's team didn't pick on the girl of the other team.

Yes, it was a long day for everyone I assume and Anna Leigh waters is a force to be reckoned with. No doubt everyone is a great player and it came down to a mental game.

They are all four great players, but they should consider trying a 3rd shot drop every now and then. Especially the ladies.

I agree Josh, was going to say the same thing. The girls were predictable. Play soft most of the time and surprise them with power.

Love your videos PickleballKid, not sure why Elliot wasn't attacking Waters with dinks, she wasn't even standing at the kitchen, it's easier to punish the feet when they do that. Waters and Sobek should not have been able to win that many points from the baseline but props to them for noticing it was working and sticking with it, but 3rd shot bang is generally a losing strategy.
@therealjmarzani6 жыл бұрын
Yup, very well said. It was a really good comeback. I was with some other juniors during game one and asked them if they wanted to go watch the final and they said, "Nah, we already know Jack and Rachel will win" Crazy game and well played by both sides!
@MrJgoodwin76 жыл бұрын
Yeah I don't understand why Waters stands so far back. You would think she would have been taught that's not the correct thing to do. Both Munro and Elliot should have hit almost every dink to her. I think they would have won if they would have done that.
@joshelliott23426 жыл бұрын
Elliott was cramping bad throughout the match, unfortunate since they were the far better team. The banging did work but every shot is out bc AL hits with no topspin, only flat.
@therealjmarzani6 жыл бұрын
@@joshelliott2342 Yeah I could tell. Also, they got pretty worked up and ended up losing the mental game. Waters and Sobek stayed chill throughout the whole match.

Good grief! The team in the blue shirts really need to drink a little less Red Bull! Their balls were soaring WAY too much. I didn't count but they hit at least ten shots long. Does anyone know what the ref said at 5:25 that was so funny?
@therealjmarzani6 жыл бұрын
Kevin Dallas Yes I would agree. At 5:25 Jack Munro (The boy in blue) hit a shot and said "lets go!" and clapped paddles with his partner because he thought his ball was in, but then the ball was called out. Also, if you pay close attention, this happened once before, which made it even more funny.

Great game. Typical parent/cameraman (man's voice). Says something nice when they do a good job. But. Criticizes them when they miss something. Should 'only' say positive comments, not negative ones. Or just keep quiet and let them play.
