Such happy memories come to mind. I learned some of these pieces when I was in my first year of middle school. The maestra plays them with great intelligence and sensitivity. Brava!

Beautiful and sensitive interpretation. She feels the music of Schumann.

Unaffected and forward playing with a beautiful sound.
As with Anna Vinnitskaya, I have noted many times that true physical beauty is often accompanied by profound sensitivity in musicality.

You are right of course! It is a question of what one means by physical beauty and the frequency of its concomitance with profound sensitivity in musicality. I was primarily referrring to spiritual, expressed in physical, beauty. I had the fortune, over the long span of my life, to have known, and shared the friendship of many musicians of the opposite gender. Even when the initial attraction was perhaps also sensual, especially in my younger age, their spiritual beauty , once I knew them better, was alwas a revelation to me and the true basis for my admiration. This includes the love of my life. I confess that I am biased.

Die Kinderszenen sind gewiss nicht anspruchslos oder "leicht". Ich hoffe so war das nicht so gemeint.

Anspruchslos sind sie keinesfalls! "Leichte Stücke für Klavier" ist einfach der Originaltitel.

She has a good sound and technique, but Plamena Mangova is a better musician. Mangova should have got the first prize at Queen Elizabeth competition and Vinnitskaya the second prize, and not the other way.

Eccellente interpretazione. Sarebbe meglio però lasciar parlare solo le dita poiché le eccessive smorfie distraggono e non sono necessarie.
@andreaanselmi9452 жыл бұрын
La gestualità e la mimica fanno parte, a mio avviso, del modo di vivere le emozioni della musica nella loro complessità....non le definirei così banalmente "smorfie"

This is a decent performance, but not much more. There is much of the same going on, a nice tone but not much variation in color. The fortes are too thick and the pianissimi too sweet. All in all a bit of a boring event. Nothing sticks in memory and at no instant I was captured by her interpretation, which was mostly absent. It ads nothing to the existing recordings. The piano didn't help either it seems not very lively and produces a sluggish, somewhat muffled tone. She might improve her presence on a Fazioli.
