Paris filming locations from Amelie the movie

At the beginning of the film, Amélie Poulain goes to a house to meet old people. She is in the garden. This house is in the city of Arcueil which is a few KM from Paris. I pass every day in front of this house to take the train to go to work 😃

I too am obsessed with this movie since I first saw it on British TV. It just came on and not expecting anything I was left in awe of such a different and stunning love story. I am now 48 yrs old and this is still my favorite movie ever. Amelie's character is so full of joy and wonderment. I wish I could find her in real life. Must of watched the movie 35 times now...lol

Wonderful! I remember the first time I went to Paris. It was 15 years ago and it was still so magical. It kind of lost its charm over years. But at the time of making Amelie, the charm was still there.

Great video. Took a lot of work, well done. As for bank cards, a travel tip. Cards sometimes don’t seem to react well to crossing borders. I always travel with 3 - my U.K. bank debit card, a MasterCard credit card, and I have a Monzo bank card which is great for travel. I have a fourth which is a U.K. Post Office card which you pre-load with the currency of the country you are going to - only available in U.K. Congratulations though, you seem to have gotten a Parisian waiter to be vastly nicer than usual Parisian waiters. Respect. Keep making great vids.

that story with your card not working is interesting, because I have been to the café yesterday, we filmed, we ate ... and their machine was not working. Luckily when going through all the pockets, we found enough cash to pay (I usually never have cash, lucky coincidence)
