Do we like living in Berlin? | First English Vlog

Uhm... hello there? Are we really doing this? I guess this is a first! Welcome to my first ever english weekly vlog. I was craving a challenge, something new, and decided quite spontaneously to try vlogging in English. This does not mean I will make only English videos from now on, but I might mix it up every now and then. We'll see!

Döner Recipe:
- White Sauce
150g soy yoghurt
1 garlic glove (finely chopped)
1 tsp mint
1 tsp parsley (feel free to add more herbs if needed)
1 Tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
Salt & pepper
- Red Cabbage Salad
2 cups of red cabbage, chopped
80 ml apple cider vinegar
40 ml olive oil
1 Tbsp maple sirup or agave nectar
1 Tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 tsp cumin powder
Salt & Pepper
- Then you need ice berg salad, tomatoes, chopped white onion, vegan meat (I use the gyros meat from Alnatura) and the bread (we get it from our local Döner stand).

Liebe Anna, zum Thema Hunde eine andere Sichtweise: ich habe Angst vor (großen) Hunden und finde es sehr angenehm und rücksichtsvoll, dass es in Wien eine Maulkorbpflicht in öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln gibt. Auch mag ich es nicht, wenn unangeleinte Hunde auf mich zugerannt kommen und finde daher eine Leinenpflicht gut. Mag deine Vlogs sehr, liebe Grüße

Ich liebe es, dass du Englisch sprichst! Du wirst viel entspannter irgendwie und ich hatte das Gefühl, dass Scott sich auch etwas wohler gefühlt hat im Video zu sein. Das war richtig schön zu sehen. :)

Ich finde, dass du, wenn du in deiner Muttersprache sprichst, authentischer redest. Man merkt einen Unterschied in Gestik, Mimik und wie du deine Sätze formulierst. Ist ja auch klar, wäre bei jedem so. Hätte ich ein Vergleich nicht, würde mir das aber auch im Englischen Vlog nicht auffallen. Mir ist es letztendlich relativ egal ob Englisch oder Deutsch, finde deine Videos einfach spannend :)

Spannend! Ich fand nämlich, dass es keinen Unterschied zwischen Englisch und Deutsch gab und fand, dass man Anna auch anmerkt, dass es für sie normal und natürlich ist Englisch zu reden.

Ich bin leider gar kein Fan von den ganzen Hunden ohne Leine hier in Berlin. Ich hatte schon mehrmals fast einen Fahrradunfall, weil ein Hund einfach auf den Radweg gelaufen ist. Und eine Freundin von mir hat Hunde adoptiert, die nicht gut mit anderen Hunden klarkommen. Sie fährt schon immer extra raus aus der Stadt zum Spazieren gehen und trotzdem laufen andere Hunde immer zu ihren Hunden hin, was dazu führt, dass ihre Hunde komplett durchdrehen. Das macht es für sie super unentspannt spazieren zu gehen. Ich finde es super, dass es Gebiete gibt, wo Hunde ohne Leine rumlaufen können. Aber das muss einfach nicht überall sein.

Wir haben uns hier auch speziell auf Parks bezogen, wo Hunde frei laufen können und wo es Hunde-Badestellen gibt. Das finden wir einfach super, vor allem weil viele Hunde einfach Freilauf brauchen, um sich auszupowern. ☺️

Wirklich wieder ein sehr schöner Vlog - und ich habe schon so viele mehrfach gesehen, weil Deine mit zu meinen absoluten Lieblingsvlogs / Videos gehören 🥰❤ Und Englisch oder Deutsch? Ich würde sagen, ein Mix aus beidem. Englisch, weil ich es einfach gerne höre und Du supergut zu verstehen bist (ich habe da z.B. ein bisschen Schwierigkeiten mit Lizzy Hadfield - ist ein bisschen anstrengend ihr zuzuhören - aber gut, man lernt immer weiter 😉). Und Deutsch, weil Du so ein schönes österreichisch angehauchtes Deutsch hast - ich liebe es einfach 😍❤

Hallo Anna, Ich mag dein Video auf Englisch und ich verstehe es wirklich gut und das obwohl ich nicht gut englisch spreche. Also egal in welcher Sprache dein Video ist, ich werde sie mir anschauen ♥️ Ich fand es auch sehr spannend, welche Kleidungsstücke du für die USA einpackst. Berlin ist dem Ruhrgebiet übrigens sehr ähnlich. Alle genannten Punkte passen hier auch. Als ich in Berlin war dachte ich ich sei zu Hause. Hier ist es sehr grün und trotzdem sehr städtisch und die Hunde dürfen hier auch fast alles😂 es gibt so viele Parks und man kann sehr gut ausgehen. Aufgrund der Universitären hat man auch viele junge Menschen und auch das Thema Zuwanderung ist hier ausgeprägt, aber ohne die Probleme wie in Ostdeutschland. Hier ist es eine Selbstverständlichkeit, dass man zusammenlebt.

Yes, GOTS, RWS and IVN certify organic wool, which comes from certified organic animal husbandry. This guarantees that the wool is mulesing-free and that the sheep don't graze land that is treated with toxic chemicals. At The Slow Label, we use recycled animal fibers where possible and otherwise choose certified organic wool. We ourselves don’t have a certification for the end product (therefore we’re not allowed to mention any), but the fabrics we buy do have them. ☺️

Really sucks that you carefully choose materials and can't even recognise/ advertise that selling your products. :/ why is that, that you don't get to label your endproducts?

@bitsnpieces-3107 we‘d have to get ourselves and some of our factories certified, which takes time and costs a lot of money (too much for us, as we’re still small). In order to advertise a certification; every step in the supply chain needs to be certified. This results in a pretty high cost and a lot of paperwork 🥴
