My mom tried soooo hard to raise me to be as conservative, religious, racist, homophobic, and transphobic as possible, and she is still baffled to this day that I ended up as a liberal, atheist, pansexual enby who won’t tolerate racism. Fortunately, now that I’m a bit older, she’s more willing to actually hear me out when we disagree on something, but I don’t think she’ll be unlearning her biases any time soon. Either way, I’m glad the brainwashing didn’t work on me, and I’m especially glad my mom doesn’t just shut down and stop listening any time I tell her I think she’s in the wrong like she used to.

The way these advertisements are portraying the kids makes it seem like they spend half their time in twitter arguments. On a more serious note, I really feel bad for the kids, because it's not their fault they believe stuff like this. They're in elementary school and don't know any better; if they are taught "socialism bad", they will say "socialism bad" without a second thought.
@anon946911 ай бұрын
The funniest thing is that then, when someone presents them with actual socialist ideas without labelling them "socialism", they tend to support it - because they don't have a values framework for why socialism is bad, just "socialism is bad".

I’m a Christian. And this is my opinion. I obviously believe everything the the Bible Teaches. And I want others to believe as well. But at the end of the day it’s their decision and I can’t make them believe anything they don’t want to. I do have a problem with other Christians being rude to someone because of their region or sexuality or gender or whatever. like I don’t agree with what other religions teach, but that doesn’t mean I view them as any different. like you can’t treat someone different/ be rude to them just because they don’t believe the same thing as you. I also think that it is okay to teach people about your religion, but it is definitely not okay to force + shove your religion down people’s throats
