She’s trying so hard to justify her husbands awful behaviour. When she said “don’t look at my man” it proved that she’s wrongfully directed the blame and resentment of her 31YO HUSBANDS(!!?) creepy/disrespectful behaviour onto these young girls. Don’t blame the girls, they didn’t want to be approached. Blame your husband for disrespecting you and for being a total creep.
@bandetee9258 Жыл бұрын
i’m not sure if she’s necessarily justifying it, more so that she’s trying to be indirect about the blame. the fact that she said that statement more than once was definitely her way of telling him she was uncomfortable with it. to me, it was like “if i don’t like other women looking at you, how much more do i dislike you actively hitting on other women” but steven can’t grasp that simple concept it seems
@emmao6578 Жыл бұрын
I'm not sure, the way she said it seemed more like she was trying so hard to act like the "cool easy-going wife" that the only way she felt she could express her dislike of his behaviour is to awkwardly joke about the women "staying away from her man". She just didn't say it with enough conviction, like she was aware they weren't actually who she was annoyed with but I could easily be reading it wrong and either way it's not a great a way to talk about the innocent women being harassed by her shitty husband

PSA Just because a woman gives you her number, that does not mean she's into you. If you approach a random woman you don't know or barely know to ask for her number and she gives it to you, 9 times out of 10 it's to get you to leave her alone. The reason is because when we say no we're either not taken seriously, or we risk the man becoming violent because his ego is bruised. Giving you a phone number is an easy way to diffuse the situation, get you to leave, and get out safely. We can just ignore your messages.

You are absolutely right about the dog thing. I love dogs, I've been training them for 2 years now and have two dog daughters of my own and I hate when some dog owners act so stupid and just irresponsibly in public! No matter how well trained or polite your dog is, you never know how the other person might react AND how your dog might react to that unexpected reaction. It can create stressful and unpleasant or even dangerous situations for both sides.
@elfdragon1227 Жыл бұрын
Also, despite that being a lab who have a reputation for being an easy breed, it looks like that dog has a shock collar on (that second collar with a box on it). There's no way a well-trained or polite lab needs a shock collar. I've met a few owners who have used them and they had larger/heavier/more wieldy breeds that were still young or in training (like a not-yet 2 year old Rottweiler/Cane Corso mix that, surprisingly, my more introverted and fully mature shar pei mix thinks is her best friend). If a person requires a shock collar to handle their medium to large size dog in public, there is zero reason to let that dog approach someone who isn't paying attention.
@KWils249 Жыл бұрын
I hate it when other dog owners don't take consideration to other people in public. I have a small dog with trauma, she does well off leash and responds and comes to me 87% of the time she's called. If she doesn't respond it cuz she's following a scent trail. If there is someone I don't know around then I call her back and put her back on the leash. There are people in my apartment complex that let their dogs off leash (without looking to see if there are other ppl around) even tho they are untrained! I've had somebody else's dog chase after mine because the other dog was excited but my little girl was scared. They were yelling "don't worry he's friendly!" But that doesn't matter when your dog is chasing mine! Seriously train your dogs! If they're not trained, don't let them off leash!
@elfdragon1227 Жыл бұрын
@@KWils249 In regards to one aspect, that other owner was lucky yours was just running away. My dog (who I do not let off the leash as she only recalls when she wants to and her prey drive is too high for so many loose cats) is sociable... Until the other dogs ignore her "I'm done" cues. Then she'll find other ways to tell them to back off. If she thinks an off-leash dog is "charging" and may be a danger to her or myself, she will act to defend. (Contrast so she doesn't sound like an aggressive/reactive menace, she's very calm around kids and we just had a very nice interaction with a usually timid dachshund puppy.)

The way he's flirting with barely legal teenagers reminds me of a weird experience I had on campus last winter. This is a cautionary tale for college students (especially femme presenting) to stay safe out here. I went back to finish my Associates in Science as a 24 YO and this guy approached me during a library study sesh. For reference, I was dressed like a first grader dressed a school field trip to the zoo: turtleneck and oversized sweater, barely any makeup because who gives a shit. This guy picks up my water bottle and me being 1. Neurodivergent and 2. An auntie who doesn't mind helping other students if they need help, I indulged his questions and attempts at conversation. Its hard for me to tell when people are flirting and it takes a while like realizing I'm trapped in an mlm receuitment presentation. After 5 minutes of awkward small talk about school and hobbies, he asked me my name, and I gave him my work nickname. He asked me for my phone number and thats when the bells rang. I asked why, he said I looked interesting to talk to. I ask him his age as a means to weasel my way out of this. I don't mention that I have a boyfriend of 2 years because that never works. "I'm 22". I respond with how he's too young for me and to move along. "How old are you?" I ask him to guess and he says 18. Nah, I'm 25. (I rounded up on purpose). He's flustered and panics about how he thought I was younger, and not in an attempt to compliment me, but genuinely confused. He blurts out, "wait, I'm actually 27." Wtf? I put the pressure on him and get him to show me his ID. Ricardo Something, and he's actually 27. Here's where auntie mode comes in. I tell this mf off because of how gross it is to lie about his age to someone he assumed was a recent high school grade. "Its legal though". And this sets me off. He's now the one trying to wiggle out of the lecture by saying, "you were awkward to talk to anyways". I warned my classmates because the majority are 18-20 YO and this couldn't have been an isolated incident with a predatory bozo.

some people in college could also be 17, like if they have a late birthday that happens after the year starts, so he could flirting with not only college students, but literal MINORS
@tootzday Жыл бұрын
Hi, 17-year-old college student here. I graduated early, so I will continue to be a 17-year-old college student for the next year. For all we know, he could be doing this to kids like me without even knowing it. If he has to make these dumb pickup videos he should do them at bars where he can assure that everyone is of age. The fact that he does it at colleges makes it clear that he is fine hitting on minors/barely legal teens, which is really weird.

What's truly heartbreaking is that we can all clearly see that his wife is smiling through the pain her husband's behavior is bringing. She genuinely looks so hurt and for a good season. Like he's literally putting her in a situation where he's not only disrespecting her and their marriage, but actively hurting her and making her feel like she may not be good enough for him. Like dude is literally giving his wife fuel to create or worsen insecurities she may have about herself and their relationship for sure! This type of behavior from men often makes women question their worth, feeling like they're not good enough to keep their husbands around, WHICH IS NOT TRUE! She's literally clearly a stunning, intelligent and overall wonderful woman, and he should be grateful he got to marry her, not disrespect her like that. Not to mention, the fact that he is hitting on younger, barely legally adult women is even worse, both because it's hella creepy, and because it may make his wife insecure for the fact that she's no longer a teen/young adult in his eyes, and therefore "attractive", since it's impossible to become young again! That's in a way ageist!
@lindseyhendrix2405 Жыл бұрын
Yiiiiiikes. Idk who this girl is but I hope she knows we fully support her dipping out on this marriage! I feel bad for her because I can imagine he pulls some, “but babe, it’s just content for my channel” BS. This is alarming behavior for a 31 year old. But it’s just plain disrespectful & self-centered for a *married* 31 year old…. Yeeeeeesh.

here’s the thing, i’m poly and this obviously isn’t ok. i’ve seen a couple of comments being like “well what if they’re polyamorous” even though they obviously aren’t. she is visibly uncomfortable with him doing this and he thinks it’s funny. this isn’t a good dynamic and they probably have not had a real conversation about an open relationship considering how they act in the video.

There only 2 reasons why he’d pick specifically the youngest women he legally could to do this to, either he wanted to pick the ppl most likely to make his girlfriend jealous because of the whole “younger than her” thing or because he’s so intellectually underdeveloped that they’re the only ppl he even has a snowballs chance in hell of not sounding laughably stupid to(as they’re less likely to actually laugh out loud to his face either, as younger women aren’t usually comfortable enough in their own skin to speak their mind to a random man)
@sonjageneva988 Жыл бұрын
the fact that she’s displaying that she’s feeling disrespected and doesn’t feel comfortable with what he’s doing in portions of the video and he managed to look over it, edit it, and put it in the video, yet not once think to acknowledge his own wife’s feelings or think that maybe he should change his behavior is absolutely insane to me

Setting all the fcked upness and creepiness of him being way too old to be doing any of this on college campus aside, my biggest issue is that he is very likely filming these women, oftentimes only wearing a bikini on the beach, without their consent, uploading it online and profiting from it.

It's soul crushing to see how much she tries to gently bring up in the video that she's upset with this and that (not only is he crossing the girls' boundaries that he's asking out) he's crossing her boundaries. She knows the audience that he likely has, and that if she stands up for herself she will just be laughed at by so many people on the internet for "not taking a joke" or some shit. I honestly don't even think it's that far of a stretch to think he would be upset at her for it too for embarrassing him on their channel (even though the whole point of the video is to embarrass her). I also don't think it's too far if a stretch to think this is his way of "keeping her in line." He's showing her how easy it is for him to get another person to fall for him if she does anything he doesn't like. Even if he's just doing this for shits and giggles, it's really heartbreaking to see this, and even worse when you realize there is demand for this kind of content, he's not the only one. I really hope that someday she can realize how much of an ass he is, or if she already does, she can gain the courage to leave him and take some time to realize how fucked up this is and that anyone deserves way better than this, whether that means being happy alone or with another person who actually listens to her. He's not worth her time.

the worst part of this is that I know multiple underage college students. I already feel weird that he's been on my college campus and might be again, but I would be so angry if he tried this with one of my underage friends. not to mention how clearly uncomfortable his wife looks to be with all of his flirting in the video. as a student at one of the colleges he's been to, it's incredibly weird and creepy to know that a married man who's more than a decade older than me might try to flirt with me while i'm just trying to get to class.

Being hit on by guy is just a scary thing, as you mention, we have to think of a polite way to reject them so that we don't get killed. And on top of that it will just be viewed as "playing hard".
