that actually happened to me no lie. I sold my soul when I was 15, but I didn't think it was real so I didn't do the deed. 1 year later I fell for a guy who I thought was nice who actually turned out to be an abusive piece of shit. I was sitting in my room alone thinking of how scared I was that I actually fell for someone and I heard an evil sounding voice say "gotcha bitch" in my ear. this was in the beginning before I found out he was an abusive piece of shit.

@Omar It's completely circumstantial and personal. There's a time and a place, another person cannot be ready for a relationship even if they are compatible with you. Now imagine, if they aren't compatible, but the guy just likes the idea of the girl but not her as a person.....

It's almost like they're recognizing the norm is for the majority of dudes to treat women like potential sex objects and not complex humans. But noo they're not going to try and break the cycle of course lol
@snakewithapen5489
@snakewithapen5489 3 жыл бұрын
@Omar well I don't think there's really a 'maximum', short of codependency and a guy letting their entire life revolve around the person they're interested in (that's concerning). Generally at least, it's better to be honest with your intentions and how you feel. Most women enjoy when someone is actually interested in them for multiple reasons, not just doing the bare minimum like a basic friend might do and not showing any actual care about their interests or personality otherwise. (and that the guy who's interested is not making a big deal out of the fact that they aren't only after them for sex, e.g- "I'm so much better than these other guys." That's disingenuous and usually creepy.) Of course it all just comes down to personal compatability and depends on if either party are both ready for a relationship at the time lol.

There is a difference between the "nice guy" and someone who is kind. The nice guy has a motive. He expects his kindness to be rewarded somehow and often seeks validation for his good deeds. He does he does to be liked and wants people to know how much of a good person he is. A kind person just does what he believes is the right thing, even if it's not the popular decision. They also don't care if anyone ever knows about their acts of kindness. Where the "nice guy" will broadcast their good deeds all over social media, the kind guy will do a good deed and be perfectly fine with remaining anonymous and have no expectations of being rewarded for their acts of kindness. Don't lump the guy who is kind in with the "nice guy". After seeing a few videos on this topic, I'm realizing that I am not a nice guy, but a kind guy. Early in my relationship with my wife, she thought I was a nice guy.. and kept waiting for me to reveal my true colors, as she put it. I can remember once, she commented that she was not used to being treated so nice by guys and kept waiting for the other shoe to drop and to see me for who I really was... then after some time she says she realized the person she saw was being genuine with her all along. No hidden agendas. No manipulation. No complete 180 in how I treated her and getting angry when I didn't get what she thought I wanted. Just me being me.

@@debanikgoswami4834because people in these circles only pretend to have virtue, while simultaneously dog piling dudes who are trying to be kind and nice to gain the affection of women. Really think about that…I’ve heard ppl say nice guys aren’t attractive because they allow themselves to get walked on. And it’s like “you’re defending people walking all over someone because they’re allowing it? Where’s the criticism for them?” It’s like punishing someone for possible manipulative behavior, because of someone else’s actual manipulative behavior. It doesn’t make any sense.

I was in a love triangle once. I liked another girl and we hung out a lot, and then a fuckin nice guy wedged himself into the situation. He ended up pushing her away from me with his guilt trips, pathological lies, and sexual harassment. He was nice to her, so apparently that gave him grounds to treat her poorly, and then turn around and manipulate me into leaving everything alone. We were always in a weird situation where the girl I like expected me to be his friend, and I was trying my hardest to be sincere and polite, but it eventually became too much. We all ended up distancing ourselves from one another after the nice guy went and lied to her about me and told her that I said some really sexually explicit stuff about her that I never said or would even think of saying. She was too emotionally confused to sort out the situation, though she understood that he was lying. I was too upset and hurt to stay. And well the nice guy finally moved on after he realized he wasn't welcome. A real shame that was. Oh yeah he also said some homophobic stuff to me :')

Ladykillers, by Lush is one of my favourite songs and it’s about ‘nice guys’. It’s held up so well, it’s about a girl getting hit on at a bar and trying to reject said nice guy. He is talking about how he’s better than most guys because he thinks women are better than men, his sensitive soul and he’s slowly trying to bring sex into the conversation. It really worth a listen, the lyrics are really good and it’s just a good song overall!

6:02 trans woman here to offer a unique experience! My experience before I transitioned with the few friendships I actually managed to have with guys was that they were all very surface level, just talking about stuff we we’re mutually interested in or activities we were doing. It wasn’t until I came out and transitioned that I started getting any sort of emotional closeness from the new friendships I was making with women (this time in college). I’ve seen this sentiment echoed in other places online where it’s just the way men are socialized from a young age that they don’t expect to put emotional work into what they consider just a “friendship”. They only expect that from a relationship or partner. And so the construct breaks down when women are socialized to give that kind of intimacy to ordinary friends. The solution? Teach your sons that it’s ok to be intimate with your bros. And nice guys are still assholes. But now I know where this particular problem is coming from. No idea how to fix the rest of their problems though.

Leaves Anya at the alter and then expects to still be dating, losing his shit when she sleeps with Spike. Constantly looks down on everyone else, blames Buffy for getting cheated on because she didn't make Riley feel needed. He didn't tell Buffy about Willow's plan to re-ensoul Angel because he was jealous. Fetishised Willow and Tara's relationship. Biggest POS, although Riley fights for that crown.

Ross is such a creep. He is such a hypocrite towards Rachel (even before the whole “we were on a break” debacle) throughout the duration of all their relationships together. He body shames Monica about how she used to be fat. He has admitted that in high school he was attracted to an elderly librarian and actually acted on that attraction. He seemingly forgets or just neglects the fact that he has a son. He is incredibly condescending to Carol and Susan. I could go, but Ross upsets me so much that I can’t stomach thinking about him any longer. 🤮✌️

@peezieforestem5078
@peezieforestem5078 Ай бұрын
Anecdotal experience cannot be used to disprove statistics. A guy I know survived a horrific car crash with no injuries. What now? Does that prove that car crashes are actually safe? I hope you see that it doesn't. Similarly, your mom having no complications doesn't disprove that the risk of complications increases with age. Your life is your own, and you are free to make your own choices. If you're willing to accept the higher risk, or just don't want to have kids in general, that's on you. But do not convince yourself and others that there is no increased risk, you're doing a disservice to everyone.

Men treating us as less than human beings is the reason why many women's standards are so low and many women fall for the 'nice guy'. It's the reason why many women do not realise their self worth and do not realise that they are worth more than basic human decency and a few well placed nice words from a man. But when women break free of this illusion the 'nice guys' feel attacked because it's not easy to take advantage of someone who has come to know what she's worth and there are no low standards for you to use to climb into her life.

@@marycatherine5424 Hi. Yes, I did see the entire video. I do understand her argument, but I think she's labouring under some false assumptions. Imagine you and I work at the same firm. We have the same job title & responsibilities. You come to work on time, follow the rules, work diligently, take a short lunch, help others, stay late, etc. I come to work 2 hours late daily, take a 3 hour lunch, barely turn in any work, don't help in the office, and leave early. The boss praises you and constantly complains about me. He says you are the ideal employee and I'm a slacker. When promotion time comes, the boss promotes me and not you, even though you did everything you were supposed to do and I did nothing. Would you say that you were"entitled" or that you had "ulterior motives" and you were really a bad person? No, you'd be justifiably upset (and probably would have grounds for a lawsuit). THAT is how these guys feel. I have interviewed hundreds of men for a project and this is what they complain about. They get upset when we tell them we want one thing, but choose something else. Men have the most rubbish self help when it comes to dating, so these guys are tired, frustrated and just want to date. They're tired of rejection and being lied to. Hey, I'm angry about the lies they told us about getting an education. I can imagine these guys are randy as hell and frustrated to the nth degree. Are there some guys that are just toxic? Sure. Most of them are the Bad Boys, but I'm sure you could fine a Nice guy that could use some therapy. By the way, I'm too old for this dating nonsense now. I'm just sharing my insight with those of you who still have a chance. Thanks for saying I deserve a good man. I can smile now as I get back to work. Lol

@@nikithaminaj2567 I would think a job to be more humane than dating. I can scarcely be considered by anyone to be a proponent of jobs or "work culture" but it is more fair and humane than dating. If untreated fairly, one could complain to the human resources department or worse case scenario, to various government agencies, licensing bodies, or other regulatory entities.

I'm seriously happy that you have distanced yourself from someone who was a creep. That's disturbing and scary fr. Regardless of what I say it ended up good for you. You're safe. And that's good. What I meant was toxic was assuming a friend was a nice guy and hinting at it. I did something similar and now I wish I hadn't. We're no more friends and it sucks. People can't read minds and take hints because it could mean a plethora of things. Generally thinking the worst. What if in your case they were genuinely your friend and wasnt a nice guy. You could've hurt a good person's feelings assuming they were and in that regard it's highly understandable if they ignore you. I didn't mean my comment to be negative or something. It just felt weird reading your comment and I wanted to point that out. Kinda like what you did with your friend in a way. With regards to the last part. I honestly have no response.
