We love the diesel, great torque real world utility. The D5 looks like a wonderful product. You do a great job of putting a real world face on this product. Please keep them coming! Wish they would bring it to the US. Crossing our fingers the diesel image wasn't damaged excessively by VW.

Yes, shame diesel now has a bad press, as this car illustrates just what can be done! I like the Alpina software and colours on the dials! I've driven the previous 5 Series F10, BMW 535d M, and it was so refined and so powerful. This G31 Alpina D5 S seems even better in so many ways - amazing! An interesting competitor to the Merc-AMG E 63 S Estate? Nice music and editing, great video - very many thanks.

Yes, Anna, not normal to compare the most powerful AMG V8 petrol in an E-Klass, with a straight-six diesel. But fun and interesting. You said: "...a beautiful soul, quietness, 7.3 l/100km, hot quick rocket in Sport mode, refined everyday driving". When you get to test the AMG E 63 S Estate, think of this Alpina! The UK configurators say: E63S £99.5k, D5 S £85k. (UK version not as powerful as your car!) With either car, what more could you want as a useful everyday driver! Kind regards. PS - great drone images too. Really respect what you do with your entertaining videos for car enthusiasts.

Anna your videos are getting better with each one and the scenery you drive the cars in is better than any other KZbinr (Apart from cars with Luke, who also lives in Switzerland!). You really do deserve more subscribers. BMW and Alpina really screw UK buyers though. The UK version of this car is just bi-turbo with 322hp and we never got the 40D version of the X3 or G30 5 series, let alone a 50D version.

I live in Melbourne...which is an amazing city to live in. I'd imagine Switzerland would also be wonderful..green and clean...though I've heard you pay a ridiculous amount of tax. I guess, that's the cost of good healthcare and good education. I'm a huge car enthusiastic, unfortunately, the roads here are heavily restricted in their speed limits. My wife is European, so I'm hoping to get an EU passport, and to relocate near the Nurburgring for a year or two. My son will then ask me, "Dad, why did we move to Germany? " Where I will then reply, "Your dad wants to go vroom vroom?". Dad, "Why don't I have school books". Well "son, your dad decided to buy carbon ceramic brakes". New Zealand for a decade...thats a long way away from home.

Hi Cade, Switzerland is very clean, pristine, organized. We actually have the lowest tax rates in the world, depends where you live in Switzerland, the tax rate can vary from below 10% to about 15% at most. So really, really low considering neighbouring countries Austria and Germany with tax rates at about 40-50%. 'Well son, your dad decided to buy carbon ceramic brakes' - this is too good! 😂😂😂 NZ ❤️ a very long way from home, but it was worth it ❤️

"Dieselgate" was definitely not a good thing for diesel in general ;-) There are of course pros and cons with diesel, as there is with petrol, but the picture that some people now paint of diesel as evil is really exaggerated. The answer to your question is that the taxation in Denmark is much worse than it is in Norway. I just looked up an example. I looked at Porsches websites here and in Norway. The cheapest Panamera is ca 1.000.000 danish kroner in Norway, and 1.700.000 in Denmark! In swiss francs that is a difference just around 111.000. And when you furthermore take into consideration that Norway is a much richer country than Denmark, the difference is even more immense. The GDP per capita is almost 50% higher in Norway than here in Denmark. Believe you me, there are really restrictions on how much fun you can have here.. By the way, I love your gloves ;-)

Gorgeous goal! Alpina used to be an independent company until they have recently been bought by BMW. They've always tried to keep their cars portrayed as limited, unique. I think going for the X3/X5 would completely destroy this target. Just my thoughts, it might now change with BMW ownership. Actually out of all the cars I drive, Alpina is my favourite by far, always in top 5. There is just something about these cars.

Hi Josh, as far as I know, Alpina tries to limit their production to remain exclusive and unique. In the US, they only sell a couple of models and in some Scandinavian countries, Alpina isn't available at all. Go figure... They only produce about 1600-1800 cars a year. It really is a pity, it's such a special car, one wonders why limit the number sold. Thank you for dropping by, Josh :-)

Spokojnie, poradzisz sobie. W sumie, to gdybym wiedział wcześniej, to zostawił bym pod pewnym znanym adresem - za 2 tygodnie na moment wdepnę do Feusisberg, no ale jako, że w między czasie nie będę w pl, więc nic z tego.
