I hate to say it but they shouldn't scab so much that your eyelashes come out with the scab. That's a build up of too much lymph fluid and usually caused by improper aftercare. The pigment will come out with that scabs in cases like this. Also, drinking wine the night before is a no no

My experience was so similar to yours,it never really took &hurt a lot.the first time my eyes swelled so badly I looked frightening. It's so true that you see the post tatoo pictures not the post healing. You're so refreshingly honest.

I started my permanent eyeliner journey June 28. I’m going for my third tomorrow. This first time it was my fault. I had not stop using my eyelash serum within the recommend time prior to getting it done. So the pigment did not hold as it should have. The second time was considered my fist since very little (like yours) pigment stayed after the peeling process; it look like a dusting. I’m looking forward to the results this time around. And you are so correct about all the other reviews you find here are only showing the “result of the day” not the final result after the total 4 week healing process. The appearance it absolutely dissimilar.

My experience: 5 days after getting mine done, the liner is 80% gone (thickness wise). So strange, not patchy or grey, just incredibly thinner. I went to a very well known, top notch artist, and it looked great when we finished. Let's see how this fully heals though. But you are right, asking for healed photos after 6 months, 1 - 2 years even, is crucial. I have the sad feeling I'll be left with barely nothing after it heals and from what I'm googling, so are the majority of people.

I’ve done hundreds of eyeliners, and never had a client lose lashes, ever! Light flaking can be considered normal, but that big chunk is definitely not normal. Very few clients report even minor flaking. I pre-numb for 30 mins, and the majority of my clients are fine, some experience minor discomfort but once the secondary topical is applied any discomfort is gone. The short time between appointments doesn’t provide enough time for complete healing, I go a minimum of 8-weeks longer if the client is highly sensitive. Avoid getting tattooed during your menstrual cycle, as we are much more sensitive to pain. So sorry you had such a negative experience, having permanent eyeliner (myself) is one of the best things I’ve done for myself. Congrats on the new baby! 🥰

Yeah so when hair gets waxed by the scab. It is usually because it's been picked. When I saw that on the video I was like yeah a picker. Especially scabs don't come off that solid unless forced. No matter how thick they are, if left they will crumb off.

I just got eyeliner done for the first time today and it was terribly painful for me. The artist even used numbing cream. Any reason why it was still painful? I couldn’t stop moving and making noises because of the pain. I have to go back for a touch up in 4-6 weeks since the artist could not fully finish it due to me being in pain. :(
@kimberleyasbas78612 жыл бұрын
@@LadyMercury87 First, I would not do a touch-up so soon, especially if it was painful. I use Eyz-a-Blue and pre-numb for 30 mins., just going from 25 mins. to 30 made a difference for my clients. Most clients are fine. If they're still sensitive, I switch tattoo methods to get the skin open, apply a secondary, and this takes care of it. Which topical did she use? How long did she pre-numb? How many eyeliners has she done? Not stretching the skin properly, or going too deep can make it painful. Changing the needle size can help in some instances. Where is she tattooing first, above the lash line, or within the lashes (lash enhancement), between the lashes tends to be more sensitive, so that area should be done after the skin is open and the secondary has been applied. My clients are to refrain from Alcohol & Caffeine for 24-hours prior, if you're menstruating, or close to your cycle, you will be more sensitive. If you're hard to numb at the dentist, then it is likely topicals won't be as effective on you. Many artists have different methods, I'm not saying she did anything wrong, or her technique is wrong, I'm just saying this is what I do and the overwhelming majority of my clients are fine.
@LadyMercury872 жыл бұрын
@@kimberleyasbas7861 I made sure not to drink alcohol or lots of caffeine 24 hours beforehand. She used two types of numbing cream. I don't know exactly what brand. She used the first one and left it for about 20 minutes or so and did a pass with the needle to open up the skin and then put another type of numbing gel, and left it for a few minutes, I think. I was not on my menstrual cycle. Maybe next time I can ask her to use a smaller needle size? It was so terrible for me. I could not sit still. May I ask why not touch up 4-6 weeks later? I don't know what she was doing, if she started on the lash line or between the lashes because I did not ask. My left and right eyes are not even because she could not finish due to my pain.
@kimberleyasbas78612 жыл бұрын
@@LadyMercury87 Do you know her experience level with eyeliner? Has she done 2 eyeliners, 20, 200, 1,000? Don't ask how long, ask how many. IMO, even 100 isn't many... I have had only one client who didn't respond well to my regular numbing routine so I simply used a topical with different active ingredients, and it made a difference for her. I can't say she should use a smaller needle because I don't know what she used during your first visit, and I don't know your skin, I can only say this has made a difference with some clients. As I said, 4-6 weeks doesn't allow enough time for the skin to completely heal. Also, the pigment isn't completely settled either. I would recommend talking to your PMU artist to discuss options.

I share a similar experience. I have no medical issues and had this done at a different location about 3 years ago. They used a pen that sort of vibrated. It was very painful. My eyes swelled up red and puffy, especially at the corners. This time the numbing did not work on me - at all. My eyes started swelling again almost turned purple underneath my eyes and started to bleed a little bit over my right eye. The technician told me that most people fall asleep but I don’t know how that’s possible as it felt like a piercing stabbing pain with lots of burning and stinging. Took double the amount of time apparently. They dropped and applied more numbing, with no affect. They could have rubbed water on it for all I know. I started literally shaking and wincing the pain was a 20 on a 1-0 scale. I follow all aftercare instructions and 3 days later my eyes are swollen shut.

Hello beautiful lady. I have just had my permanent tattoo eyeliner top and bottom. I am on day 3.. Swelling gone down a lot but still visible. Slightly sore still, but I was given aftercare gel to apply morning and nite with a cotton bud. Which feels very cooling and soothing .. My eyes water a lot When I'm lying down and sting a little . But I just pat dry with a clean tissue. I must admit they look so colourful and dark when first done, but mine as slightly faded, but was told the colour will pop when my eyes settle down. I have to go back for a touch up in 5 week. Numbing cream was used, but to me it hurt more on the inner and outer corners.. It doesn't completely numb you.. I always say no pain no gain. Where people say they don't feel a thing. I really cannot believe! All the best with your new baby ...things we do to look good eh! Mel 😊xxx

I'm sorry hear that your experience was so unpleasant! I did mine about 13-14 years ago... I needed one touch up, but that was more to even out the two eyes since swelling made a it a little difficult for her to get them exact... After 13-14 years, my eyes were faded to the point of what yours were after your third session! I've been told by many many people that I was lucky to have such long lasting and great results (especially since ink wasn't as great back then!)! I finally decided that I would get mine done again, and tonight was my first session... Hopefully I have as great of a success as last time!!! (Unfortunately, right at the end I flinched and I wound up getting a bit of eyeliner out of place! I'm really hoping that it wasn't deep enough to last 😂)... Fingers are bleeping crossed!!! 🤞

As a PMU artist myself, there are several issues to take into consideration here.. 1. Skin type .. some skin types are hard to keep pigment in 2. The pigment itself.. color? Was it dark enough? Good quality?? 3. How many passes did she do on the lid each appointment? How deep did she insert the pigment- her pressure may not have been enough to keep pigment in skin needle depth may not have been deep enough.. 4. Technicians training- or lack there of 5. Home care. I noticed after the first appt when you said your lids were flaking... there was a piece that had many lashes in it... that to me tells me you may have “helped” the piece of skin come off.. I have never ever seen lashes come off in the flakes of skin like that!!! It’s a huge No-No to pull or help the skin come off when skin is flaking or trying to peel. Let it come off naturally

I had a similar experience and tried removing with painful laser after years being unhappy. The pmu artist did my eyeliner at the corners with a 'wing" which migrated in the corners. It looks faded now but it is still noticeable. The laser was extremely painfull and left me blue-black for about 3 weeks so I don't want more removal. Well, atleast the look is much softer. Nowadays the pmu artists prefer not to "close" the line at the sides.😊

I'm sorry to hear tat u did several times. I did mine only once however I din repeat any touch up at all n it's already 10yrs n it's still very dark colour till now. I only use cold eye patch for few days n da swelling reduce. Then, at da same time, I keep it moist all da time to avoid any crack or dry up flaky peel off as u need to keep it moist always as this is very very important, else u'll experience flaky n cakey tattoo if tat happens. U can just use baby oil right after u take ur bath as ur skin is still in moist condition. Then on off keep it moist by using lil baby lotion to keep it moist whole day... This is da tips I learn when I had my body tattoo.. it's da same concept... Hopefully, u can do tat in future if u decided to do again. As long keeping it moist, no flaky nor cakey, da tattoo does not crack n can maintain almost da same as how u get it done...

Firstly, an artist can post healed results but that doesn’t guarantee you the same results. Everyone has different skin types and such some skin heals differently and oilier skin may need more touchups. Second, you admitted you drank alcohol the night before which for me, would be a instant reschedule if client did not listen to pre-service instructions. Thirdly, scabs do not fall off with eyelashes in them so you likely picked or pulled them off too soon rather than letting them fall away on their own. Lastly, your artist should have managed expectations with you and let you know up front that there is almost ALWAYS a touchup and possibly a second one depending on how you heal, skin type and if aftercare was followed. Seems that if there was a lot of scabbing then too much hardening of lymph occurred. There should have been post care that included blotting twice a day with filtered water, pat dry and followed with ointment. Dry healing and no cleaning will have too much buildup. Sounds like there was much error on both your parts... hope that helps.

No matter how bad the trauma caused and how thick the scabs. Scabs naturally do not peel in a solid piece. It usually crumbs. It's clearly been picked as the lashes were waxed with the scab. Not coming for you just want to educate. I've had over a 1000 clients and its very clear. Also scabs start to flake around day 5 but should not flake 100% less than 8 days. 8 days are also for oily skin. Dry skin it can take 14 days. Thick scabs are also due to improper aftercare, whether not good aftercare was given or followed, we wouldn't know.
@AnnasBigAdventure3 жыл бұрын
I appreciate that you have a lot of experience but I can assume you I am not ‘a picker’. Regarding aftercare, I was told to simply leave them alone, so there was no aftercare. Naturally I daily get thick crusty / flaky eyes. When I’ve had semi permanent lashes I also had issues with my eyelids creating big clumps around the base of my lashes. At the time of having this treatment I had a toddler who on one occasion did swipe at my face in the night (we co-slept) which definitely loosened the thick scab that had formed. However, that was just one occasion. I had this treatment done multiple times and always with the same outcome. A hugely regrettable experience. Now left with a messy/bitty tattoo on my eyelids, just looks like I didn’t take off my makeup properly. :(

I don't understand why people do this. I've been doing a lot of research, and I've never seen it turn out well. I love eyeliner, and rarely go out without it, but these tattoos just look like dirty, cheap, badly applied eyeliner that you've slept in after a drunken night out. It never looks crisp, clean, or pigmented, and it somehow always makes the person's eyes look smaller and older. Even if it looked perfect, and even though I love eyeliner, I can't imagine wanting to walk around with just eyeliner on all the time. Just foundation looks fine, just mascara looks fine, but just eyeliner makes you look awful, and now you *have* to apply at least mascara to look normal. Anyway, rant over. Lmao. Thank god this woman doesn't look too bad.
