I think what hurts the most about her loss is knowing that she remained always so humble in demeanor and forever appreciative of her fans. No ego, just talent. She was indeed taken from us much too soon. True fans of film will always love you and your iconic motion picture legacy, Miss Bancroft. R.I.P.

I love her so much! I first saw her in The Miracle Worker and I became her fan ever since. She is sooo talent and unique as a person...it is uncanny! I am sad though that I didnt have the chance to get ti know her work before she died. But I'll definitely honor her from now on!

Losing Anne Bancroft is like 9/11/01. Never forgotten and heart breaking. I love her! My favorite actress ever. Seen her in The Miracle Worker and The Graduate. This tribute makes me cry. Even just thinking about her does. She died 2 years after I was born. I haven’t turned 2 yet. She died June 6th 2005 and I turned 2 July 5. I’m wish she was still here. So heartbreaking. I’m so heartbroken. Such an amazing actress❤️

I always felt that Bancroft was under appreciated as a performer. (Although that can be said of a lot of women. Suzanne Pleshette comes to mind). I'm glad she won the Oscar for "Miracle Worker". She gave a great performance in the "The Graduate" as well. However, I've always wished that Judy Garland had accepted the role. (She was offered it. Bancroft was a second choice). It would have been an even better film with Garland in the role because she was a better fit.
