I ve read an article where he said that the last time they spoke with Anne on the phone was hours before his arrest. Her last words to him were “ I ll always love you”( maybe she didn’t mean not In it romantic way, but still). After that she hang the phone and shortly after the police came for the guy. They have never spoke to each other since. Yes, this this man done bad things and got punished for it, but i can imagine how heartbroken he must have felt - having a woman like Anne and then loosing her in that manner, having that kind of a tough last conversation on the phone that probably echoed in his head when he was in prison. I don’t know where he is and what he does now, but I imagine it’s so hard to find love again after being together with Anne for so long. He probably sees her face everywhere, even in other woman, when he is with somebody else. But anyways, he can only blame himself…
