That was a great question, but I was surprised by the answer. New York is a GREAT city for famous people. No one bothers them. Before the pandemic I was in the city twice a week. I've walked past Anderson Cooper on the sidewalk. Piercing blue eyes, in-person his hair is silver, and he talks a lot with his hands. I've sat in a restaurant 8 feet away from Woody Allen, he was quiet and relaxed. No one gawks, no one follows them, no one asks for autographs. They can walk down the street unnoticed by most people. I only spied Anderson Cooper because he's really tall and he was walking right toward me. I've even seen a movie being shot on a street corner and everyone moved around it, like a river around a rock. A multitude of famous people live in NYC and not even the paparazzi go after them. It's the perfect place for celebrities to live.

People on here confused about Clooney having twins closing it was IVF, if they had bothered to google Amal’s family they would have known her family has at least another set of twins (her sister I think) so twins runs in her family and therefore obviously in her genetics, also she was 39 not 49, you can get pregnant naturally and with twins (especially if again it is in your genetic makeup).

generally, you dont see pqpparazzi in nyc either. really, new yorkers are not phased by celebrities. brooke shields and I used to pick up lunch at the same place, she would sit down to eat and nobody bothered her ( she is gorgeous in real life), I saw katie holmes a few weeks ago picking up coffee at starbucks on lexington ave... the is very recognizable and nobody cared. no paparazzi either. amazing how famous people walk around nyc with no paparazzi bothering them, but in LA, they cant pick up coffee without 20 paps shooting them.... what could that mean ??? that the celebs in LA call the paps and tell them where to be ?? That the celebs get kickbacks from the paparazzi agents ? hmmmmm ....

Not true. Brooke used to walk to the lunch place everyday and then she would walk back to the place where she was working. I saw her everyday. Nobody bugged her on the street or at the lunch place. No photographers following her. New Yorkers are not phased by celebrities. I have seen movie stars attending the ballet , going to the movies and nobody bothers them and nobody is phased. I used to see Keith Richards tooling around town, happy as a clam. People would just smile at him. I have seen big hollywood stars and super models shopping at bloomingdales like normal people. Nobody bothers them. I saw katie holmes a few months ago standing on lexington avenue, she is v. recognizable and nobody gave her a second glance. The only time I ever saw people stopping a star asking for autographs, they were a bunch of tourists. They stopped Alec Baldwin and because of them, he missed his taxi. He was very gracious and nice to them, by the way. So no, New Yorkers do not mob or hassle celebrities and we do not have packs of Paparazzi roaming the streets. That is LA and personally, I think the celebrities in CA alert the paps, get kickbacks from the paps, and have only themselves to blame .

WE do have a ton of tourists though and THEY lose their mind when they see a celebrity. I remember literally bumping into Harrison Ford and although I adore him, I kept it low key and apologized for walking into him. He was a sweetheart about it. Then sitting in front of our office building with a co-worker and having Sean Penn timidly walk up to us to ask for directions to someplace. We gave him directions, he thanked us, and we wished him a good day. He walked away and a bunch of tourists spotted him and started screaming. How do I know they were tourists? The guy walking with them holding up a flag that said TOUR GROUP on it.

Very good questions but she didnt let her heart got involved. His answers didnt reach her and thats a shame. An interview or an interaction is rich, for me at least, when there is empathy and youre letting things into your heart that the other person is saying.

Just seeing this comment… I really appreciate you pointing this out because there is definitely some truth to it. These junket style interviews are so time restricted that you have to prioritize certain questions. You get 3-5 minutes max and that’s with slating your name and outlet and a 30 seconds to a minute turnaround time. Sometimes you are looking for the right quote or soundbite and that means you may have to quickly move onto a new subject. It mostly depends on what your station wants out of it and what sort of guidelines they have. So I completely get it when you say that I didn’t let my heart get involved. I’ve done 45 minute podcasts with celebrities that were perfect for that and they were so much fun to do. As an interviewer, those are way more interesting than trying to squeeze out these bite size pieces that your channel then has to cut up to a minute and a half segment. Having said that, you have a totally valid point and I will keep it in mind for future interviews! 🙏

Absolutely George NYC is the greatest city in the world…by the way I’ll just drop this info right here when I was living on Long Island still (before I moved NYC) was living in Long Beach 1996 and I was working on the upper East side as manager of a rooftop pool commutin 4 hours a day back-and-forth to work 12 hour shifts So I was walking home walking from my job on the UES down to Penn Station (faster to walk vs taking the trains. So angry as hell that I had to work 7 days a week I never had any time to do anything cool in The city bc I didn’t live in the city (yet) so I was storming down Madison Ave one night w my huge tote bag on my shoulder…it was dark and… and I see someone across the street to my left walking uptown. I did a brief (NYC tolerable) side by glance and it was George Clooney who was also looking at me I mean I was effing starstruck! but since I am a native New Yorker you don’t miss a step. If you see a celeb you respect their privacy you don’t ask for an autograph you don’t run over to them you don’t even acknowledge anything beyond a glance you keep walking you just make a note in your brain yes that was George Clooney checking me out when I was checking him out and go on with your life
