I have to say, I really dig this book. If you knew me you wouldn't believe me. I'm a 50 year old grumpy Grey beard weirdo I guess. I relate to this girl and her childhood. I was adopted as well and grew up mostly in foster homes and group homes. I had one good home I ended up in at age 14. I was a lot like Anne misunderstood by most. Luckily Anne isn't jaded my abusive adults. What's funny is I listen to these stories but rarely get into one like this. I can't sleep because I'm enjoying the story. The reader is AMAZING. A good reader sure makes it great. Thanks guys for these stories. These stories really help me to get out of my head when I lay down. Well back to the story.... Ps. It's 10 till midnight I'm out back smoking a cigarette I'm tired and didn't proof read nothing lol😂

Thank you for uploading. Definitely not AI, the womans voice and style matches the lively content of Anns character. I just lowered the volume to fall in sleep eventually. And no adds!! Kind regards from the Netherlands.

It’s Anne “with an E” - you’re obviously not an attentive listener. If you were, you’d also know that whatever American narrated this wonderful old book, bastardized the Canadian pronunciation of much of it - basically destroying the story’s original local flavour and definitely NOT matching “the lively content of Anne’s character”. Anne’s character would shudder in horror at being made to sound American.

Wow I cannot believe the shitty comments. If it's AI reading I'm astounded cuz it's petty good. It may not be a sleepy one for some I'm up listening to it instead of sleeping so there's that. This is a good story and read no matter what other people are staying.

Rachel Ellen is obviously NOT Canadian, judging by her American pronunciations (the “Premier” (Preem - ee- er) of a province is NOT pronounced like a movie “premiere” (prem - ee- air) - which is why they’re SPELLED DIFFERENTLY). Some of the narrated books presented by this KZbin channel are great, but they REALLY need to find women to narrate women authors, Brits to narrate British books, and Canadians to narrate Canadian books - or AT THE VERY LEAST, forego using Americans to destroy the natural tone of these stories, with their horrid, rapid-speech American accents and their bastardized pronunciations of the English language. Sheesh.
