Oh the stuff dreams are made of. The simplistic beauty of these rooms you showed today overwhelms me. If I had my druthers this would be the interior of my house. The editing, music was just fabulous.

I totally agree! I would love to live in a home that looked like that all rustic and simple. I was watching a Christmas movie last night and they were in an old village log cabin and I said "i want to live in that little shed". lol

From Velvet: This is such a charming video of the era of simplicity and appreciation of our heritage. It was so easy to imagine servants doing their daily tasks and imagining the discussions of what was needed to be accomplished in their chores for the day. The simplicity of the decor, the charming different patinas of the wooden walls, the hardware for the doors. Everything was delightfully arranged for keeping the imagination flowing of what life would have been like in this decade. Thank you for sharing this home with us.❤️

Such beauty in simplicity and hand wrought craftsmanship. Wonder if those side rooms were heated.
@AnneClay3 жыл бұрын
No the side rooms were not heated however I don't know if that black stove looking thing may have been some sort of heater.

I thought that was the laundry at first but a milk room makes perfect sense too. Maybe the designers say, but what are the tall copper cylinders in the room and the kitchen? Hot water tanks? Cool looking. The doors alone are awesome. I can just imagine seeing the buttery jammed packed with food stored for the year. On KZbin there is a series of different farms from different time periods where 3 historians live for a year working in that time period. It's in England. Fascinating to watch.

Oh yes I've seen that show - fascinating!! Yes I'm sure the copper tanks for for water - there's one in the kitchen too.

Very nice. I have a farm house table and chairs just like the ones in this video. My brother helped an old farmer clean out a barn an gave me that table. I had the chairs since I was young

Hi Doris - hmm I didn't even notice the smell but probably. They are pretty well ventilated too so I didn't notice a musty smell at all.

What I really should have said was I am not that familar with houses that old and would have liked you to explain what we were seeing as we toured the rooms. I do love your chanel and want to learn more about this time period. Thank you for putting out your videos.

@@ruthsheffield8448 oh got it. Those are the wings of the home or the sheds. Tomorrow’s video will explain it. I am enamored but the patina of the wood and the simplicity of it so I just enjoy looking at that. Tune in tomorrow, your questions will be answered.:)
