Because the one that has the insane voice doesn't sing much in English. He is German and most of his songs are in German. The Giant Rooks do sing a number of songs in English though.

It's Milky Chance, they were(/are?) quite successful internationally actually. Just look at KZbin for their most successful songs a few years back. Maybe it rings a bell... Aaaaanyhow! "Can't get you out of my head" with Parcels is by far my favourite of their covers.

AnneMayKantereit are amazing, they have so many great songs like Barfuss am Klavir or Pocahontas. Henning May (the lead singer) had some features e.g. Juju - Vermissen or KIZ - Hurra die Welt geht unter. Maybe your German is well enough to understand the lyrics without translation =) Anyway as always thank you for the great reaction =)

The song is a cover of Suzanne Vega's Tom's Diner (1987). This is a collaboration of two German bands: In the first room AnnenMayKantereit are playing and Henning May (deep raspy voice) is their singer. And in the second room Giant Rooks are playing, Frederik Rabe is their singer. A little later AnnenMayKantereit join them. The guys of AnnenMayKantereit are the older ones.. AMK does mostly German songs, Henning can also sing without that rasp, his voice is amazing, but I like Frederiks voice even more. Giant Rooks do English songs, even though they are Germans as well.
