Hello can i ask, how did you get the 4.1×10 raise to negative 7 m?
@AnneSchmidt10 ай бұрын
You have to convert your nanometers to meters. 410 nm is 4.10×10 to the -7th m. That’s because there are 1,000,000 nm in 1 m
@lexstenger72524 жыл бұрын
I was wondering why you set up the conversion going from J to Kj differently than the Nm to meters What I mean by that is for the Nm you put the big number on the bottom with Nm but the one going from J to Kj you put the big number with the J rather than the Kj. Why is that?
@AnneSchmidt3 жыл бұрын
1 KJ = 1000 J 1 m = 1,000,000,000 nm I never use decimals and always have the 1 with the larger metric unit and then have the smaller metric unit in 10's more

im confused how you combined the equations and isolated them..

If you’re trying to find a mole of a spectrum do you follow the same path then multiply my avogrados number?
@AnneSchmidt3 жыл бұрын
You got it! That way you have the energy for a mole of photons.

pls can u explain how u converted the 410nm to 4.1 x 10m
@Edison-dp7gr Жыл бұрын
bc a meter is a billion nm, she converted 410 nm to that amount to meters which happen to be 4.2 x 10^-7

when did v become frequency?pls explain
@hunterx25013 жыл бұрын
sorry i am only in junior high...
@AnneSchmidt3 жыл бұрын
Chemists use v (which is actually a Greek letter called nu) for frequency. In physics they may use f for frequency. The letter f in chemistry could also be a type of orbital which is why it isn’t used for frequency.

how did you get 10 to the power of 7? that number came out of no where this docent make sense
@AnneSchmidt8 ай бұрын
You have to change nm to m in order to use the speed of light constant which has m per second as a unit. There are 1,000,000,000 nm in 1 m, but the given value is in the hundreds of nm. So when converted to m it has an exponent of 10 - 7 m.

I used a scientific calculator and I didn’t get 4.84 to the -19th I got 4.84 to the -33rd how do I get to the Same answer you got to?
@AnneSchmidt5 ай бұрын
Make sure you are using the EE key (2nd key which is blue then the comma key)not 10^x key. Also, using parentheses for each value helps.

How do gou calculate without a calculator we cant use calculator to calculate this im stuck 😭
@AnneSchmidt3 ай бұрын
There are rules for scientific notation adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing. I’d you need help comment back and I can explain!
