Annette Is One Of The Worst Movies I've Ever Seen! Annette Review

Annette is one of those artsy-fartsy movies that only a small portion of the world actually enjoys. I don't know people for liking it but it's definitely not for me. It's an experimental rock-opera starring Adam Driver and
Marion Cotillard. Oh, there is also a wooden girl because of course there is. I hated this movie!

I fucking loved ANNETTE!! Saw 3 times in theater. Years from now it will gain Cult Status. So bizarre and challenging but sincerely a lot of fun. I have the music and it's SPARKalicious!!

I got the dvd after watching since analytical videos about it, and it takes repeated watches to see everything, and I don't know when I'll be done! I love it too! It provokes questions and theories, which is what I love about it!

You People, the new-ish movie on Netflix is pretty damn bad. It's not the poorly made, horribly cringy acting and dialogue kind of bad, it's actually pretty well acted and put together. But the plot and how ridiculous all the characters are is baaaaaddddddd. It's Meet the Parents, but racist. "White people and black people are different!", that's the entire movie. It's not the central theme of the movie, it's the entire movie.

@@chasehedges6775 duuuude, Eddie Murphy wasn't even remotely funny. We were in shear awe at how you can have one of the most talented comedians of all time in a movie where he doesn't have a single funny line. He was just..... Angry. And racist. It was horrible. Even his "redemption" arc at the end was lame, he didn't even see any error in his ways, he was just basically like "well I guess you white people are cool, but only because you're marrying my daughter, I still hate the rest of your people." What a trash movie.

100% agree, I was shocked with how seemingly unintentionally racist the characters in the movie were. The ending felt like a cheap way to wrap up the story as quickly as possible too. Would be awesome to see Adam review it

@@bev9708 The opening song by Sparks was very good. The movie on the other hand was a chore to get through. Your right that it was imaginative I just don't like the way it was executed. I did enjoy Marion Cotillard solo scenes. Hell they could make a two hour movie of just her singing opera and I'm satisfied.

I like Adam Driver as much as I like you Adam. Both cool dudes. But sometimes he is to artsy. For example, While We're Young movie was semi artsy and it wasn't that good. Sometimes a talent like an Adam Driver may take it to far. Give me a break.

I enjoyed your review of the film more than the actual film. There were some good elements, but overall way too artsy for most people. I think sometimes people who take themselves way too seriously as artists do stuff like this and lose track of what actually touches and interests real people who they want to like their material. I actually thought the movie felt like it was getting started once we saw Annette as a real girl. But I have nothing against anyone who actually enjoyed this for what it was. Thanks, Adam!!
