@skyhunk I think she's a dramatic coloratura. her high notes have that shimmering ring that only dramatic coloraturas possess, listen to her bel raggio and you'll see what I mean.

let's face it... there are very singers of any voice type who look great in close up when they're singing. I trained as an opera singer and was taught that everyone has a different way of making sound. Little of it is pretty, however, particularly at the far ends of the voice. But as long as we're naming names, June Anderson. Leontyne Price. My biggest problem with this is why is it so slow after about the 4:30 mark?

Wow such harsh words towards Ms. Massis on this post. Let's not forget she is one of the world's foremost lyric coloraturas. I'll agree that this isn't necessarily her best showing...but to label her as 'awful' is ludicrous.

I don't really care for this kind of singing (opera singing, head voice vibrito singing). But I can say that if I did like this singing, I'd say she sounds great. Good control too. But then maybe this is average for the opera world which is full of singers with great control.

she has a beautiful voice, clear, it's seen clearly she was a little nervous, but she needs to practice more his high notes and to try to open a little more toward the sides so that she strain not so much the throat

Zzzzzzzzzz... sorry, I fell asleep. She has a lovely, lovely voice, but that is without a doubt the slowest version ever recorded. At what should be the climax, around 4:00, she is barely moving. I could sing it at that tempo and I'm a baritone. This really makes me appreciate great technique like Sumi Jo, Beverly Sills, Roberta Peters, Mady mesple, et al.
