Since I’ve started my KZbin channel and watch other vids I’ve seen plenty of women riding bike’s especially younger women and from what I’ve read in there comments older women are getting inspired watching them and getting bikes. I read in one comment section where a 75 year old lady was inspired to get herself a bike,as she been wanting to ride for years but was scared to as her husband did not ride who has is deceased now. Bike riding to me is all about passion 👍🏽

I'm glad to hear men are not being excluded from 'womens' riding events. I've never seen a 'mens only' motorcycling event. Hope y'all keep your events open to all.

Would you mind discussing how to overcome the fear of riding? I've been riding for 20+years. My wife will happily be a passenger riding with me. This past summer she started playing with the idea of getting her own license. We paid for the course, she did the online part of the training and then she got scared and decided not to go to the actual in person training. She said she's afraid the motorcycles will be too heavy, she's afraid to get hurt, it sounds like there is too much to handle at once when riding a bike etc. While I completely get this, I think it's more emotional fear.

Never had trouble finding good gear as a woman. Granted, I ride a Harley, so finding good leather jackets was simple enough. As for leg protection, my classic black leather chaps are fully adjustable and can be cut to desired length. I can certainly see touring and sport bike gear being harder to get for women though. 😊

What are some good places to take the wife shopping for gear?

In person or online? In person, you can try a local dealer, but you probably won't find many options. Otherwise, you'll have to wait until there is rally near you where there are vendors. Online- eBay, Revzilla, Cyclegear, DenisKirk, ADVRider... all good places to start.
