Somewhere around 1974 - 2nd Chapter of Acts - I saw them at a small rural high school in Northeast Louisiana...middle of cotton fields. Matthew, Anne, Nelly - was one of the most amazing events In my young life. I was 14. Staying power....they were/are real. Thank you Ms. Anne, Matthew, Nelly, and Buck. Today I play professionally. Thanks for your inspiration and for your consistency.

Thank you for posting this! I remember one time I met Annie after she did one of her concerts. She hugged me and for several days, I felt the presence of the Holy Spirit over me like a sweet and powerful fragrance. She is a true woman of God. I am an artist too. And like she said, the 'world' can offer you all the money and success in the world - but when Jesus says your name and you see HIM - nothing else compares to HIM! Not only does He saves - but you get to spend eternity with Him in total joy and peace. No Oscar. No Grammy. No Tony Award. No Emmy Award - could take the place. They all look like faded metal next to HIM. So I say Amen...Amen!...AMEN!!

Annie is my mentor. Her ministry, from what I can see, is to the emotionally wounded and that is only possible if you've been there and she has. So have I and I thank God for every tear.

Randomly chose and brought home a copy of "2nd Chapter of Acts -- With Footnotes" from, of all places -- the local library back when I was a teenager. The first song was "Which Way the Wind Blows" ... and after listening to that & the rest of the album -- I was a changed person! Many of my secular albums later ended up being smashed on the rocks. It was a musical transformation!

I dearly remember you Annie, Nelly, and Buck with great respect. I attended church with you and was in the youth ministry with Reverend Clayton. I can still sense your solos from the choir. You sat close to my aunt Lois. Rev Sanders was a good friend of our family and a loving pastor. Thank you for this, I've loved 2nd Chapter of Acts for so long, (both of those "Hymns" albums are pure joy). Thank you Annie for your testimony, seeing you in concert and hearing your music I had always assumed "OK this seems to be a girl who was brought up in church and never really fell into the darkness of this worlds habits" wow, I'm enlightened now, Joy flooded my soul and the chains fell from me also when I found HIM. Please pray for someone I know, He needs to be delivered also.

@GlorifyHim888 I appreciate all these honest postings. Similar experience, I haven't seen Jesus, except twice since 1972. And niether of those two times did he speak....just looked at me and grinned. The first time, He told me that He had been following me, and that He hoped I would turn around, so we could become friends, and that He had taken care of every obstacle. I melted, and said ok! That has endured for me through some thick, and much thin! He never ever forgets!

I've always known her by name only since the Brothers Johnson's recording of her gem Daydreamer. But I think the Winners album misspelled her name. I thought it was spelled "Anne" and not "Annie". In any case I am glad that I've gotten to listen to some of the 2nd Chapter of Acts' music. In today's world it feels like...I don't know...as if The US (the world really, but since the US is the forerunner of it all) is desperately standing in the need of hope. When there is no hope for a better tomorrow and a will to forge that hope into reality then life becomes nothing more than a 4 letter word. I can't imagine how people can go thru it and feel as tomorrow will be as bad as the day that just passed by. I am not deeply religious but I am spiritual. Far from perfect and am prone to losing my way from time to time. But I could never completely abandon hope. Music such as the 2nd Chapter helps keep me on track. Thank you Annie so much for illuminating that path again. Could I take an educated guess as to your response? You are merely the messenger, He ^ writes the words. You'd be so right. It's just good sometimes that He allows for a physical presence as a messenger.

Tony G well, Home is heaven. Salvation is in Christ alone. Going back to to an organised business like the Roman Catholic Church I cant see would add anything to her Christianity. What would she gain. And what would she lose in doing that?
