Wow, you made this look so much better! Before you had a too-short 90s dress and now you have a super cute romper that looks as if it were meant to be this way. I didn't even like the fabric pattern until you redid it. It's like you found the real purpose for this garment that the makers couldn't grasp. Very impressed. :)

I have another solution for your corset. Instead of lacing it like shoes, halfway you don't cross it, they stay in their rows once, then continue like shoe laces. With the loops you have created halfway, you can thight it and lose it on your own. For more pictures and clearer explanation (not a native speaker), just search how to lace a corset. Love you ❤

You could also put metal snaps at the crotch instead of sewing it shut. that way, you can still put it over your head, and it's easier to go to the bathroom, rather than completely undressing

you can use elastic lace instead of regular lace, and you can put in the eyelids up to the top!

If you look up Lucy's Corsetry, she has some fantastic tutorials on how to lace yourself into and out of a corset using "bunny ears" style lacing, with alternating X's rather than the typical lacing-up-your-shoes method. I know a romper isn't a corset, but the technique carries over.

If you still have the eyelets you can style the back with some layered chains, I think you could that off and maybe even get that going as a trend.

You could also lace it up the opposite way so that the bow is right above the bum, it's how we get in and out of corsets!
