I made this yesterday for a friend's birthday. I didn't have milk on had so I just used whipping Cream for my icing. This is my go to cake for everything. I just change the pudding flavor & extracts. Perfect. I wish I could send you a picture. THANK YOU.

I love making this cake...Try this for taste next time...The pudding in the cake mix..use Banana Pudding mix, for the icing...switch the vanilla extract for Banana extract..Promise you wont go back...and you should try it with whipped icing too...add a banana pudding mix, banana extract and a half cup of powdered sugar...but good recipe

It look delicious but I never would have used box cake I would have made my own cake mix and everything also way too much butter. been baking cakes for 50 years all that oil is not needed. Way too much fat in that cake

Nice and innovative concept. Judging by looks your cakes fell. It most likely happened because your measurements were off. For the record it's best to use liquid measures for liquid ingredients and dry measures for dry ingredients. Contrary to popular belief, those two things are not interchangeable. This is a lesson I had to learn the hard way and my granny scolded me several times about. Overall beautiful cake. I cannot wait to try this recipe out.

@@Ladyinmaine27 So dry measures are the ones that look like cups or the big measuring spoons. They are used to measure dry ingredients like flour, sugar, rice, etc. They are not as exact and allow a leeway of error in recipes. Liquid measures would be the measuring cup with the ounces that looks clear and is most common in kitchens. They allow for liquids (water, oil, milk, juice, etc.) To be measured against the meniscus to or curve for accuracy. This ensures you ate not using too much or too little in your recipes. I hope this helps
