Hi,Thanks for posting.I'm fairly new to the hobby and there are very few videos regarding Spektrum setups.Sometimes it takes quite of bit of searching to find them.I get that they are not in the majority,but it's what I got.

If you have questions just ask and I'll see if I can assist. Not an expert but I think I can get you going the right direction. Take care. Rick.

1:00 saved me from going insane. I bought this plane several years ago, and I just started assembling. I thought I had everything until I came across these screws. None of the online manuals I found has these screw sizes. I know there's Tundra V1, and V2. I even went to the product page of Orange/Grey Anniversary Edition i.e. this exact plane and downloaded manual. All of those have completely different screws. I thought I got the wrong package of screws, until I saw your video. I still can't find the Tundra build manual that uses these screws. Do you by chance have a PDF version of the manual somewhere? I would appreciate it if you could post it somewhere and provide a link in the description of this video. Thank you so much.

So, do you have a PDF of manual or can you post pictures of the assembly pages, please? I need to put this together pronto! Thank you!

well done video!!!.....as someone who has just ordered this exact model, but it has not yet arrived... can you offer any other helpful tips ( build or flight ) that are not in the video....also , what happens if you push the " I " button while in flight and the throttle is high?...thanks

I can't say I've ever tried going reverse while in the air but my assumption is it wouldn't be a good idea. LOL. The only thing I changed from my initial build is I did upgrade the receiver to a LemonRX with built in gyro. Do you need a gyro, not really this plane flies great but it doesn't hurt to have it especially if it's windy. Only other thing I can think of in regards to build tips is just to take your time and make sure your control surfaces are going the right way. Flight tips, this plane flies so good that there isn't anything to say. She can do pretty much anything without ever complaining. It's a stol plane so fast or slow she does it all with grace. Has enough power to get out of trouble so all I can say is have fun. Take care and have fun with your maiden. Rick

I recently began flying this exact Tundra V2 model...my problem is the motor sometimes quits after appox. 4 min of flight time...I am using new 3S 2200mah 60C LiPo's and they are still fine after landing ( appox. 38% left ) .......I notice the ESC becomes very hot and it must be shutting down the motor ...I am using all the stock parts that came with it......the big carbon fiber prop , stock motor and stock 40amp ESC from Hobbyking ..what am I doing wrong as it's frustrating having to land dead stick so many times ?...thanks

Nice Lemon-RX!!! Love the Reverse function! I like the BIND BUTTON + THROTTLE for reverse. Less likely to "accidentally" flip a toggle switch. Looking good! P.S. Just out of curiosity, why not Timber 1.5??? (or do you already have that as well?)
@willnate357 жыл бұрын
Oh I want one. I was hoping for it to go on sale but it didn't. This plane I got for less than $160 and free shipping, so I pulled the trigger on it. Timber is next.
@BrianPhillipsRC7 жыл бұрын
No doubt, that's a steal for $160! The Timber 1.5m is $250 BNF, but does come with floats, so the plane is a very good value too. Some have said they prefer the look of a Carbon Cub SS for a STOL plane over the Timber OR Tundra...(I'm one of these people, by the way)....but that doesn't stop my affinity for what I don't have :) LOL Hope she does well flying for you! Good luck!!

The maiden is always the most exciting so I'm keeping my fingers crossed it'll go well. That may be a while since the weather in Maine isn't conducive to flying. I may get a transmitter mitten like you reviewed in one of your videos. Hard to fly when you can't feel your fingers. I've got the sport cub which is a great plane and looks just like the carbon cub ss. Can't go wrong with a red and white paint scheme. Just wished it had just a little more power.
@BrianPhillipsRC7 жыл бұрын
The sport cub is a GREAT plane! You'll love it. It's slow, but so what!?!?! It flies VERY good! P.S. Be careful about your switched in that transmitter muff. That was my biggest concern. It DID keep my fingers comfy though :)

I am thinking of the HH Carbon Cub S+ 1.3 for my daughter's 5th birthday. Any reasons why not or any other suggestions? RTF and then buddy box wirelessly.

How did you fit the rudder nd elevator control rods to the servos arms for a smooth movment ?The servos arm hole are to small to fit the bolt joints which come with the kit !in fact to make the servos arm holes would ruin the arms !
@willnate355 жыл бұрын
The holes in mine were fine and did not constrict the control rod movement. In case you were wondering which hole I used in the control arm it's as follows: Rudder = middle hole, Elevator = 1st hole closest to the elevator. Hope that helps and have a great day my friend. RIck

Just the little velcro is enough to fasten the lipo?
@willnate356 жыл бұрын
Yes, the foam securely holds the battery in place. I've flown this bird many times since I installed it and it has not failed me.

Would this be too hard to fly for a beginner? I currently have a small 780mm glider
@willnate354 жыл бұрын
Hi Levi, I would say this is a great beginner plane but I would suggest a gyro and setting your expo around 30 to start. It'll react to your commands quicker so the expo will soften it up. Good luck my friend.
@levi.k40174 жыл бұрын
willnate35 ok how would I put a gyro in it? And I’m not too sure what expo is. I’m very new to this hobby
@willnate354 жыл бұрын
@@levi.k4017 I use a lemonrx receiver which has a built in gyro. Expo is programed in your transmitter. Do a KZbin search.

You need muscle up yes it was stiff but better than slopping around

i just put this plane together , the one negative and one of the most important things is the hardware ( screws ) cheap garbage , maybe the worst i have ever seen . i ordered all new screws ( not from Hobby King ) that i will change when i receive them .
@willnate354 жыл бұрын
Correct, but once you replace them the plane itself flies so well. I love this plane. Thanks for the comment and have a great day my friend.

as soon as i receive the new screws up it will go .
