I know that you are always about optimizing your industry so your new food islands layouts give me chuckles :P Have the mills be the only one connected to the fields. Mills and bakeries to the market places. Why: Fields only get visited by the carry guy when they are full. And there is no need for the guy to come there anyways becauz the mill worker does that for them who acutally comes as soon as 2 weed has gotten produced. :D but oh well for your tiny island it might not matter I have visited Anno 1602 again cauz of your series! Thank you for that :) Little Challenge I just completed for you. One Island nothing but aristocrates and service buildings. My Island had 11 000 people in the end and I could barely keep them happy :D

well i am only doing casual optimization, not diving too deep into it. i just want to have fun :P also if the farms themselves have a road connection i also stockpile grain, which can save you in emergencies. hm let's see how many aristocrats i will ahve in the end^^

large warships are the most efficient, they are the fastest, can carry the most and have the most cannons in case of war. since you can have maximum 4 slots with automatic trace routes, it doesn't matter how many slots your ship have (a lagre trade vessel may have 6 slots but are the slowest ships in the game)

Why do you choose to use the bread production for food instead of the meat production. The meat production has less buildings and is therefore maybe a little more efficient?
