I like the recent addition of The Primer section. Nice concise way of getting the goal of the game across quickly and getting into the game play. Love your constant improvements to the channel!

Thanks! We have not been great in the past about really explaining how to WIN the game, so it was important that we more or less started there with the Primer. We are glad to hear it’s helpful!

Played this about 12 times with all player counts. 3 is a sweet spot for this but works in all player counts imo. I really love this one. It's very visual and easy to teach, and has just enough player interaction for me. Always fun to ask around the table "who am I paying for a sausage?". Great game :) It does improve with more plays.

Great video. Been going back and forth on this. Play mostly 2 player board games (my wife and I). You video helped me pull the trigger and get this for my wife and I. Big fan of the 2 of you, and have the same taste in games. Keep up the amazing videos!

Nice review. I jumped around a bit while watching but at 1:46:45 you traded twice the same good, glass to convert 2 red populace to 2 purple populace. You can only trade for 1 of the same good with other players. You can get many different goods but they all must be different. So Frances should of won...😁😁

Really fun game! Wallace has already announced an expansion for this game. There's a thread about it on BGG but essentially he said he added a little more complexity to the game without changing how it really plays overall. He also said the game we have a lot less randomness (things like each player starting with the same hand) and his goal was to make it a "gamer's game". Sounds promising!

Finally received my copy and am excited to get this to the table. It does have a slow burn in the beginning, but that elevates the game in the later rounds. Great play through. I believe that "counting money all your life" is the Quint -Jaws reference. Good one.

This game was surprisingly fun. It looks tedious and cube pushy but it moves quickly and even though the game is long it feels like something constantly happening. Turns are short so you're always engaged.

Thanks for a very comprehensive play through. Well described and easy to understand and no 'dodgy accents' either! We are Brass Birmingham fans and this game will be a close runner. It makes you think, consider and strategise. We played it as a two hander and left off the second blue and red tiles which made us trade more.

Snagged this at PAXU for $35! Anthony, I think I chatted with you briefly at the Capstone booth as we were both looking at Corrosion. Didn't know it was you until I had to go back to the Chai booth to demo. Maybe next time I can shake your hand or give you a fist bump. Love yall's content and what you stand for!

The penny farthing was named after the two coins - the large wheel being the 'penny' and the small wheel being the 'farthing'! Love this game. Lovely playthrough.

Another enjoyable playthrough guys. Think the game works well, pretty straight forward actions, moves along at all player counts and playtime seems to remain pretty consistent at all player counts in my experience so far. Think I spotted a small error with your use of trade and exploration tokens earned from cards: as I understand it they need to be used up prior to your next festival else you lose them eg @1:15.00. I am watching on a phone though so I may be misviewing this.

Thanks for the playthrough and review, this is such a weird game. The cadence seems goofy, the turns and actions are very simple, the objective is clear from beginning, but it seems to draaag ooon only to speed downslope into the end. It manages to be fun despite random card draw and necessity of getting them all played (except for a couple characters with a discard ability or wasting a turn to swap cards for yet another lottery ticket), but what hurts me so much is the presentation. It possibly does a great job to emulate the pc game graphics, but for me both the color palette (green, teal and blue as worker colors? trying to make everything in the game more beige/brown than the blandest Klemens Franz art and succeeding?) and especially the characters are an eyesore. The most visually appealing piece in the game is the back of the board. And yet watching you play made me want to take it to the table again.

Watching this on my phone there is a high pitch sound in the background. Really super irritating. Maybe you can look into it?
@AntLabGames3 жыл бұрын
We did actually, we can’t hear it at all but a few people have reported it. We changed our mic amplifier in the most recent video, would you be able to confirm if it’s an issue on that one? (The Kinghill Kickstarter). It’s tough for us to diagnose because we can’t hear it.
@ilqrd.66083 жыл бұрын
Hey yes, it’s less so on the Kinghill video but still present. It’s worse on this one though. In the Kinghill video when you cut the clips that serve as a bridge between agenda points the pitch goes away but when it returns to you it comes back too.

This game makes so many mechanics good, but its so bad to play... Graphic design is so dammit bad i can't even point out where to look at it. Main board looks cheap and so unorganized it's hard for new player to look at and find resources. Cards rng is brutal, some card require basic resource and some two require unique resuources that may get made or not... and if someone made resource like glass/dynamite it's installty taken with trade token to make cannons/windows. You just wasted turn for someone to get huge boost... Random drawings exploration tiles is dreadfull... you will get 2 farmers and get miserable, meanwhile someone will get 2 workers or factory or anything more usefull! New world tiles are awful to take since you have 3 cards to fullfill which may require more new world tiles! All in game is not the worst it's have lots of flaws which should be taken time in oven to fix....
