Thank you! Could not find a guide on details for trade routes. I originally had set my load amount to just 50 each time, ill definitely try your way to optimize the routes.

Getting trade routes with the Pirate factions is HIGHLY recommended. Anne and Jean buy Beer at $1k per unit!

Wooow! Thats great a deal! Too bad that I defeated all the Pirates in my game :D :D :D What more I heard that they are also selling some ship plans? I must try to friend with them but probably it is hard :( Thanks a lot for that info! :)

LOOOOL I made trade routes between my islands to carry goods. What a fail by me.
@specialtrades125 жыл бұрын
Only difference between charter and trade routes is you have to pay for a neutral ship for charter routes. If you have the ships it's more beneficial to use trade routes between your islands
@StepMochi5 жыл бұрын
@@specialtrades12 yea but the ships have upkeep cost too? And can be destroyed
@specialtrades125 жыл бұрын
@@StepMochi true which is why I said if you have the ships. If they're just sitting idle it's better to put them to use so you aren't paying them to sit around.

Kinda disappointed in that video. I was really hoping for a tutorial on setting up Trade Routes to include tips on how to PROTECT your trade routes -- setting them up is the easy part, keeping them running is the annoying and challenging part. The "Patrol" feature is not explained AT ALL in the game and just assigning escort ships seems pretty micromanage-y and unsustainable.

Hey Nathan thanks a lot for this great suggestion! I will try to cover it in future quick tip&trick episode :) Thanks a lot !

I’m also curious about patrol, but I found simply assigning a military vessel to escort it requires no further attention after that. If u have a big fleet/mortars a good alternative is destroy the pirate bases and just be ready for when they come back

I got to oil recently and there’s this retarded bug that won’t let me manually fill the oil tankers, I put one on an oil route and am doing the other manually. But when trying to extract oil the island part is empty and it only shows my tanker is empty. Work-around: I sail to the oil rich island, then I start a trade route 400 oil to some random person, I then stop it once its filled with oil and send it home lol :’)

You know you can also use trade routes for transporting ressources between your islands, not only for trade, right? Much more cost effective and flexible than charter routes. The name might be misleading, but trade routes are the routes you use since forever in the Anno-series. Charter routes are new and only make sense if you, for some reason, have no own ships. Is this your first Anno?
@hundinger15 жыл бұрын
No offense intended, by the way. Things like this happen. But I think you should correct this.
@hundinger15 жыл бұрын
And of course you can also use charter routes for trade.
@pablo17135 жыл бұрын
Hi Alexander! :) Yep I know that you can also transport goods with trade routes but I was not thinking about it in "cost effective" measures in this tutorial. But it is very interesting point to check what is more cost effective! :) Thanks for that suggestion I much appreciate that! :)
