I also did not expect the rest of volume 4 to be covered in a movie. I think they should slow down after the movie, because the LNs are only at volume 6 right now. And once we get to that volume 6 we will be all out of material. Or maybe the movie will take a while and season 3 doesn't come out as fast, giving the author more time to write more books. But damn, they are going fast with this series. It must be selling really well over in Japan.

anime and manga reader here am really excited for this arc to be a movie cause we can probably get more backstory on cid old life and akane's life after cid died then the manga did and movie original scenes as this arc is little bit more serious then the other ones but am so hype to see the boy shadow in high animation movie quality!!! ^_^

I personally don't like the anime movie trend because anime movies tend to try to cover a full LN or something like that in an hour or so. That said, the Japan arc is kind of short anyways, so it's appropriate for the movie format. A good chunk of it was already adapted for episode 1 of S1 as the prologue, so it's basically about 1/3rd of the 4th LN.

In the first season it left us on a bit of a cliff hanger and people got so hooked on it, but the moment season 2 finished, i can guarantee that people are incredibly hooked on it, the ending itself is just crazy, but it makes me wonder, will akane nishino recognise cid? (aka kageno) Thats whats got me really thinking, and if she does recognise him then what will happen, will cid go back to his world, and if so, will she follow or stay in her world?
