⚠️ I have the exact same incubator and I have been using it for over 9 years. NOWHERE is it written that you put water in the bottom of the tray. The tray is only for any condensation that may form.

I have the same incubator and the humidity pump is broken. What can I do now to have a humidity in the incubator?
@LauraHandy-ponyforsale9 ай бұрын
Hi, thank you for the video! First time using my rcom today and came home to find the incubator had fallen from the egg van. I’ve checked that I’ve attached the incubator to the van guard correctly and can see that it slips off easily. Any suggestions on this? Thanks

Umm water don’t go in bottom tray, also that is why you use the humidity pump as it trickles water in to incubator which goes onto some material that keeps the humidity right.

it drips on the felt indeed.!
@darkshaman708710 ай бұрын
@@theovalenteijn8700 yes he mentions in this video about you can never fill it over with water but like you mentioning it has felt inside, also I have one here and the felt goes in the top as we know and is trickled fed by a pump, I have had some successful hatches so they ain't to bad.

Hello my questions is how to lower the humidity I have put accurate thermometer inside the incubater for calibration.Mine humidity is 70 and want to convert into 60 humidity.??

I have had this incubator since they came out....like you, my humidity pump has broken.......what exactly do YOU do to get a good hatch without the pump. I'm having a bit of bother working it all out re the rh %. How much water do you put in pre turning?
@volvo906 Жыл бұрын
You can get an upgrade pump now - bit pricey but if you used them before may be worth the investment.

As others have said, the water is trickled in via the pump, but my gripe is the cradle. We have 4 of these because of great reviews...... Stupid me only read the reviews that were in the selling sites 🤦♀️ The incy itself has a high hatch rate every time when set up correctly BUT! After the first year the cradle, which is the auto turn, only lasts for one year or 2 to 3 hatches. It stretches and can't be tightened so the incy keeps falling off. This is my review and a bit of a heads up. Cradles can be bought separately but they are between £50-70!

No. They have been superseded with a newer model. Keep an eye on eBay as they quite often turn up on there.

What’s a good price to pick a used one of these up ?

I think about £80 is good. I paid £20, plus the £30 for the replacement part. But if I sold, I would want at least £80

Which other video do describe why you don’t use Rcom APS please.

APS? Is that the humidity bit? Never heard anything called APS before. If it is humidity, I don't use it as I dry incubate.
@robburgoyne95064 жыл бұрын
Annoy Dad hi, yes APS is the automatic pumping system used by the unit to add water to regulate the humidity. Do you have a video on dry incubation then?
@T.M.G20144 жыл бұрын
If you dry incubate in this what do you do in lock down to up humidity
@AnnoyDad4 жыл бұрын
I add water at day 18, when the eggs go into lockdown.
@T.M.G20144 жыл бұрын
@@AnnoyDad in what manor do you add it , sponge?
@AnnoyDad4 жыл бұрын
These incubators have a gap below the egg tray, and I add the water directly into there. In some other incubators, I use a small glass with water in it.
